Hey anyone else had their success rate take a complete nose dive ?
I've gone from about 60-70% success rates down to a string of failures after increasing the relevant skills post patch.
Or maybe I'm sitting on the far far left of the probablity curve at the moment

Done 20 Module inventions of varing items and only had 3 successes in the last week...
I may try for T2 razor blades so i can slash my Virtual wrist

Not seen any major issues here. Have had 8/55 for ship invention but must say it was a bit heart breaking with 19 failures in a row in the middle before I had 2 successes again. The spread spectrum of each dice roll is so wide that you will need a few hundred attempts before you see a valid baseline average.
Just to give you an idea how it has been spread over time for me:
3/9 1/9 2/9 0/9 0/10 1/3 1/6

Edited by: ReaperOfSly on 21/04/2007 11:16:15 I had a scare yesterday when I got one success out of 6 attempts, but I later got 3 successes out of 4 attempts. My normal success rate is just shy of 50%, so no major change here.
Edit: this is with module invention. Level 3 encryption with level 3 and 4 support skills. No decryptor. --------------------------------------------------------------------

It has been a little variable

have been my recent results
I hope there not changing it, but it has been good while it lasted if that is the case. I know T2 prices have slumped a bit recently but that should put off some inventors from some modules anyway, so they shouldn't need to reduce the success rates. ------------------------------------------------ Just because your not paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you! |

Ohh, there's plenty of profit to be had from inventing, believe me . I'd tell you what I invent for profit, but I worry that everyone will start doing it .
As an aside: it is theoretically possible to make MORE profit from invention than if you owned the BPO, because you can build from multiple BPCs at the same time. You'd have to have full-time operation to do it, and involve a couple of corpmates with lots of lab and manufacturing slots, but it can be done. --------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh right, I thought this was talking about something done on sisi. So far i've noticed no changes on TQ, with maxed skills and decryptors inventing is working as it did last I checked. I was getting worried for a moment heh.

Let me guess: T2 Ammo? Now that everyone and their families inventing T2 ships and weapons, not enough inventors seem to be working on the ammo. T2 gun prices are slowly dropping, but some T2 ammo prices are ridiculous, and checking the price history we can see the huge rise right when invention came out, but currently on a small decline. Still ridiculous prices though.

Yeah this is what I'm talking about, the change has happened to coincide with the patch which makes me think foul play on CCP part
and I'm talking about mods here (that require 2 x 2 datacores)

I did 9 module invention jobs yesterday, every one was successful.
Last week, I did 3, all successful...maybe I'm just a lucky sod
