I have an alt that I want to start using an Amarr cruiser with for running agent missions. Any suggestions on which cruiser and load outs?

Try the Augoror!
Loadout should be pretty simple, considering its only got one lowslot more than a Punisher. Its got lovely cargospace tho ;) ----------------------------------------------

Omen.
Best agent cruiser there is. 450 cargo hold and 5 low slots. 3 med slots and decent cpu/powergrid.
Will work for fud. |

Yea Augoror is nice. I used one for agent missions in the past, did quite will I may add. If I happen to remember my setup I'll let you know.
The Augoror may be my only crusier if I can find one on the cheap. A once retired pilot, now, once again helping those that fight the good fight. |

Edited by: SUNscatcher on 30/12/2003 21:55:40 I use executioner for most missions as it is fast and carries ~ 100 with 3 od's in place. Carrying 3 cargo expanders for those slightly larger loads. The omen is my favorite cruiser because it is by far the fastest. Again fill with od's and carry cargo expnaders as necessary. A maller flies about as fast as a indy but a little more agile. But it can handle any hostiles thrown at you in current missions. Problem with maller is that its a pain to keep switching for useage. So now I use executioner for most missions, sold the maller and bought a armageddon for the kill missions(just because it makes those missions slam dunks) and just switch between my indy and executioner most the time. 80% of the time i'm in the executioner(cruises at ~ 500ms) and my indy (with four overdrive injectors(+ 30ms) cruises at 300ms) and with 2 10mn ab's approaches 500 when I want to drive the dam thing(which is rarely).
All in all the omen was too light for kill missions and the maller too slow to use regularly. Final verdict: get an omen and ask for help with the kill missions If you are running lots of currier missions. If you are doing lots of kill missions get the maller and get an executioner too. If you can catch me you can have me. |

why cruisers? Pretty handy when doing lvl3 agent kill mission but other than that I donŠt see a need for a cruiser to do agent missions. People have also been saying that they have done the lvl3 kill mission with a kestrel. __________ Capacitor research |

Use an omen, they are so flexyble, u have big cargo and also 4 turrets, u can use lasers without wasting ammo. and a small drone bay for scouts drones.

I use an arbitrator with a 10mn mwd and 100mn ab, absolutely flies. I use a H50 and 6 wasps for kill missions, have an active miner 2 and an inactive heavy beam(to be swapped with the 100mn ab if I feel I need it). The lightest amarr cruiser is the Augoror so should respond best to an mwd, I think the best would probably be Omen though, I just fancied something different. With a setup like the above for speed I don't think a cruiser would be much slower than a frigate and it's much more flexible. I nearly touch 2300 approaching gates and can jump further than any frig that takes me to similar approach speeds.

Trust me being in Jericho I hear the Kestrel love song all the time. I am doing lvl 3 kill missions. My agent gives me kill missions about 80% of the time. Until I got to lvl 3 I was using a punisher but it's a little under powered for some of the lvl 3 mission.

id say go Omen.
Had one loved it, nver tried an Aurgour. Curreently in a Maller, its slow, has almost no cargo space and its pig ugly.

I use a stabber for agent missions... which is not amarr... but is fast... and has good cargo space... and I'll get my coat... -------------------------------------------- Dead

an omen really isn't a good choice for the more difficult kill missions, not enough cap for one thing. Omens strong points, speed decent cargo. But for most mission a executioner has better speed and sufficient cargo to get by and at a fraction of the price.
No the only reason to use a cruiser for missions is the kill missions and then you have to go with the maller.
And if you run "a lot" of mission you aren't going to want to drive all the time and thus how your ship performs in autopilot becomes an important factor. Thus for amarrian ships I think the best mission combo is executioner/bestower and pull out your maller when necessary [or if you prefer one of the lessor cruisers bring help or ask for it along the way(people are very helpful if you just take the time to ask)] If you can catch me you can have me. |

Definitely the Augoror.
Not only do I think it's awesome looking, (so retro!) but the huge cargo hold (largest of any cruiser I believe) and decent stats make it more than capable of handling any agent mission.
I get people asking me where I actually found one quite often Centauri,

Using an Omen, with a loadout of 2 heavy pulses and 2 focused medium pulses (named), all with Radio Ms, I was able to singlehandly farm a spawn site guarded by 3 Blood Arch Engravers (30K bounty Arbitrators) and 6 Blood Arch Reavers (20K bounty Augorors).
That was before the patch though, before the Arch Engravers were upgraded to 35k and much meaner, while the Arch Reavers are upgraded to 30K with appropriate upgrades, while Radio Ms were nerfed.
An Omen after the patch can still handle some, though I have switched out the loadouts to to 2 focused medium beams with UV to Gamma crystals, matched with using 2 650s cannons or 2 250mm rails (preferred). I find mixed laser with proj/hybrid setups to be very effective in any cruiser I use.

Omen and Vexor are quite similar---no other two ships in the game are quite alike---that they are almost race variations of the same theme. With the Vexor you get more drones and hybrid damage bonus, with the Omen, a more robust ship and powergrid that is more cap efficient with energy weapons.
