I'm attempting to get one of my buds interested in EVE, and he's been requesting a couple videos that will do the game justice. The problem is that he doesn't want any of these Goonfleet super-edited videos that look like star wars action scenes. He's interested in seeing the actual interface, and how the game actually plays. I've been searching around youtube and on the EVE site, but I can really find any videos that seem to fit his criteria. If anyone can point me towards one that the community deems worthy, I'd appreciate it.

I personally enjoyed the hauler's revenge one. You would have to explain to him what a hauler is, though.
What are you trying to entice him with? Fleet battle? Pirating?

On the EVE Video page you can download "No Other Destiny". Towards the end they have some interface shots. Note that the parts with the interface shots cycles very, very fast so you will need to pause the movie to have any chance of really seeing them.
EDIT: Actually just rewatched "EVE Never Fades" video (from same link above) and it has even better interface shots (in fact great ones...market, info screens, fitting screens, etc and all easily seen).

Get some of the famous fight videos, both some 1 on 1 and some epic ones, like the MC P-2 battle video from recently where they just Leeroy 4 motherships into giant fleets and so on

That is "EVE Never Fades". Easier to watch I suppose than the download but the download is a lot clearer.

The Problem with many eve videos is that you need to know about the game to grasp what is going on in them. For example the famous Farjung videos aren't very interesting if you don't know much about the game (they are cool if you know the game tho *g*)

You could just tell him to try the 14 day trial. That will do the game more justice than any video ever could.

Sure they do, No Other Destiny shows mission running and other PVP in the last half of it. And the Revelations trailer shows even more PVP with fleet fights and a POS takedown.

I've got an older one of a rattlesnake killing lots of things.
That's all taken directly from the game as he plays it. Perhaps that's what you're looking for, I can't for the life of me remember what to search for on here though
Maybe rattlesnake's revenge or something...

For just showing off eve, i'd recommend the Goonfleet videos (I cant even spell the makers name unfortunatly)
They are actualy made to entice new players into the game I believe. Fitting.
