I think someone else mentioned if you turn of the UI interaction sound you can turn if off.

Does the system map need a background noise? Please consider removal of this, this is the tactical camera all over again. You don't need a noise for every new update. That ping noise needs to go away, Gong 2.0 indeed.
I'm going to reiterate my ask again.
PLEASE! For the love of Bob, remove the map background ambient noise, the tactical camera noise and give us the option to turn down the incursion background noise.

I like the addition of the icons for the ships in the scan view, however... that will break alot of tools like PLH and dscan tools due to the addition of the code for the ship icons included.
Suggestion: Make that icon a toggle option in its own column or have some way so that the icon isn't copyible from the dscan window so you only get the text fields as before. Otherwise various developers are going to have to recode their tools to try to ignore this.

Ember Niagara wrote:Yeah, the Solar System Map now has an annoying background ambient noise (similar to the one heard in Tactical View). Like the new D-Scan noise, it is grating if you have a bassy headphone or subwoofer. [Redacted the rest but completely agree with the idea]
This^^ I've been asking this for a while. So many ambient noise that arent tied to anything so you can't minimize their impact on the experience in the client.

I have had this issue for a long time. I suspect memory leak.
What happens to your FPS? I was going from ~90fps before the hack to sub 30 fps during the hacking minigame and then as soon as the game closes I'm back to full FPS again.

Yeah, I saw it happen before this update, but it was not nearly as pronounced. However, this patch came about the same time as several Microsoft patches and it could have been some patching being done in the background that I missed.
A friend of mine and I have been feeding pretty steady bug feedback to CCP on this issue.
CCP Paradox was trying to repo it but I don't know if he every was able to.
Here is what I'm seeing when it happens. This was with a pair of SLI 660gtx cards an I still occasionally have it happen since upgrading to a 1070 8gb card. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUTf2H4eEVI
It doesn't always occur, normally though it happens after a few hours of game play.

I miss the old probe activation. I keep thinking my mouse button didn't trigger the refresh due to th delay in initiating/moving/scanning on the new probe interface.

EBR-115982 - Issues with Overview position resetting after every login ( Overview is moving ~10 pixels off the upper right hand location where it was originally docked) - EBR was closed stating could not be reproduced so closed by bug hunting team.
Example: Here
Can repo this on multiple accounts.
Repo steps taken:
- Reset position Attempted to log out and log in - Position resets
- Clear client cache settings for all three impacted accounts - Issues persist on login
Support request #402118 was opened for this one
Another UI issue being experienced is that my chat windows docked at the neocom will become unstuck from their position with autohide turned off.
If I alt tab to another client window while moused over the chat box it appears to become disconnected from the neocom and left floating in the original position with the neocom was exposed.

-) during hacking the computer starts running hot, very hot, the fan blows at max speed and the cpu goes to 180%, some seconds later the computer reduces processing speed and the game comes to slo-mo speed - roughly 3-5 sec response time after clicking a single hacking node is usual. what is running there in the background that consumes that much cpu?
thx for fixing these problems soon!
I suspect you're seeing the same issues that have been reported with the hacking minigame in the past (general Frame rate dropping and lag when clicking through the nodes)
What is your frame rate like during these periods? I saw mine go to nearly half of normal for the duration of the hacking minigame then go back to normal.

In comparison: Once I took part in a battle with 1500 ships on grid. The fight situation did not keep my computer that busy as the hacking mini-game does! I guess that during hacking mini-game some background calculations for NASA space missions take place ... ;)
Sounds like you're running into similar issues to me and a friend. I'd suggest submitting a support request and making it attn: CCP Paradox. He was looking into the issues and the more cases of oddities during the hacking minigame the better.

EBR-117651: Undocking from citadels causes items in the right hand of the screen to move down 10 pixels
Note: When first logging in and undocking from a citadel this issue occurs, any other subsequent undocking after correcting the window positioning will not encounter this issue.
This has been on going on multiple accounts, created a new profile and reset game settings.
Opened EBR-115982 as well for the issue, but was closed by the bug hunting team.
Example Here
Video of the issue:
CCP Please investigate. It's getting annoying
