Bullshit.
They first victimised by themseves wanting that 100% comfy carebear space so bad in a space that cannot, and WILL NOT, provide it to them.
Sorry.
Door's that way.
Id rather see the game burning itself down to the ground as is than becoming yet another kiddie's playground. |

Darek Castigatus wrote:So....have people finished having the exact same argument thats been going back and forth for over a decade yet?
At its heart this argument is and always has been about two opposing viewpoints, some people think they shouldn't have to have what they perceive as limits placed on their game play by other players and some people think they should be able to play the game in the way they feel it has been put forward by the developers without having to care about what anyone else thinks.
Personally I come down more on the pro ganking side, simply because I agree with the argument that what the developers have always said they intended the game to be is more important than a few players slightly bruised feelings, however I can understand the reasoning behind the other sides arguments even if i dont agree with it.
Of course the situation isnt helped when theres a substantial part of both sides that arent interested in actually having a discussion and just prefer to troll threads by spouting hyperbole, arguing in bad faith and refusing to even try and understand the opposing viewpoints. I'm also going to reserve a special hell for those idiots who play the 'If you act badly in a game then you're a bad person in real life' card, because not only is it a bullshit argument in the first place but its chronically missing the point.
I know this post isn't going to change anything and likely as not I'll be reading a whole new iteration of the same damn thing in a few weeks anyway but i felt it had to be said.
While a kiddies point of view is all well and understood, it still don't make one fart of difference inside Eve. |

The majority of them read a review or signed up for a free trial found out the games full of little bitches too afraid of PvP who decided to stay in the baby pond with a bunch of other lil bitchrs nd shoot ships that have no hope of retaliating. They then decided not to sign up. Ironically you are burning it down. CCP misses out on cash and that cash isn't being used to make nice new toys or buy new hardware. There are 8000 systems where you can fight actual players, not 20 second fights where you burn down a helpless ship before dying to invulnerable NPCs, fights that make your hands shake and fights that when you win give you a big sense of satisfaction and enjoyment. Should try that out one day I can assure you its fun.
Lol, yea, like a handful of butthurt "victims" were really going to affect CCP's finances and business model on the long run, or ever did hurt it for more than 10 years...
Cry me a river.
And also, before assuming ****, might I invite you to:

You might actually learn so many wonderous things about yourself there. |

That's your opinion man, I say that at times the gameplay / content I want IS removed by gankers. Whenever someone says "I just want to be left in peace" is an example of their content being removed by someone else. It's all viewpoints. There is a very real difference between you choosing to not do something because you fear other players and people not being able to do something because the mechanics were changed to make it impossible. This is another valid point. The fact is you're painting one side with your tarry brush and ignoring your own whining. When I created the biggest war dec alliance in EvE who was it that whined and moaned for a year or more to get it nerfed because highsec was "too dangerous"? Null alliances. When Goons found out about mobile siphon units who was it that whined and moaned to have mechanics changed. When people started to blow up gank wrecks who was it that whined and moaned to have them buffed? In my experience the whining and moaning from null, especially from your old alliancr s dear leader made any complaining from high like white noise in comparison. Everyone, regardless of their supposed status whined and moaned from 2003 until now. They will continue to whine and moan so let's do away with the hypocrisy.
And to the point, high sec "victims" were only ever the minority, and hardly the core of CCP's current cashflow.
So why even bother listening ? They'll learn eventually and move on, like we all did once. |

By handful Im assuming you mean the tens of millions playing PvE only games because they don't like PvP. Based on other games with both PvP and PvE there's about 1/10 ratio so given the 200,000 who play EvE that's potentially 2,000,000 or so. I don't do killboards they give away too much Intel.
All times in gaming history where a company began to ditch its core play in favor of attracting the ADD kiddies numbers in, the game eventually descended into a shitstorm of fail, and died.
If Eve had to go, I along most of its current core playerbase would rather see it go down as the monster it's always been, rather than some faked up version just to please the spoiled-to-****-freebee-generation.
If Eve along with its public interest goes away, or even due to lack of funds, it will just go, and **** it, but I'll be damned if Eve ever gets saved by the ******* PVE crowd.
Lmao in your dreams. |

Lmao in your dreams.
That's true regarding the core player base. You see I started in 2003 and we were by necessity PvErs. I mined my first battleship in a Thorax because it was the best mining cruiser and there were no battleships. In fact the game was only a success because it had both PvPrs and PvErs. Then CCP ditched its core player base and its been stagnant ever since. I don't PvE because its boring to me now. I'd rather purchase Plex if I needed isk even though I disagree with Plex. In fact I don't engage in any of the activities that I usually defend on these forums. I don't go to highsec except to get things not available in null. But I do believe your type are stupid - you care too much about what carebears are doing in the tiny bit of EvE they get to do it in. We have 7000 systems, 8000 if we use wardecs, that's 7 times more than high. Yet people such as yourselves are so pathetic you become obsessed that someone is not playing the way you demand they do. I find that amusing, I find you amusing. I checked your killboard and find it amusing. Thank you.
See, one could also find amusing that some scrub would've sure complained back then that getting a Battleship took too long and CCP had to change the game to suit their demands...
And surely enough, you would've been one of those defending him or telling to get the **** out I suppose ?
The latter I believe, because back then Eve was a fuckton more cutthroat and tighnit than it could ever possibly get to now.
So troll on , ******* hypocrite. It's amusing.
And it's not the way "I" demand them to, it's the very nature of the game which they chose to play for. It's like someone practicing SM would suddenly say the rules he just signed up for aren't to his liking and should be changed halfway through the show.
Well sorry, ******, that just doesnt work, let the show end first then why not go make your own ******* game. |

I still don't get how you bully someone on something that can be turned off at will. Cambridge Dictionary definition of "Bullying" nÇàGÇï "Someone who hurts or frightens someone who is smaller or less powerful, often forcing them to do something that they do not want to do"
LIke switch off and stop playing.........is that what you mean Jenn ?
It's not bullying if the "victim" chose to be hit in the face by the "bully" the moment both signed up for the game.
Try reading into the definition of consensual:
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/consensual
Then come back talking about poor little "victims", or actually, instead dedicating your time on defending RL bullied victims would be the better option, or as if you actually gave a **** about them more than you for poor little western rich kids being bullied inside a video game.... |

I would say ditto but I can't be amused by something so pathetic. I don't have killboards. All you need to know about me is that is this. Was before you started playing and will be long after you've gone - I am an Eve God

You can have your own personal objective, but so does the others And if the others want to break your little sandcastle, you simply have to fight back instead of crying lol Same applies here... You want to be safe, you have to actively work towards that... Because no one else will do it for you The thing your ilk fails to understand is that when a sandbox becomes a litterbox nobody will play in it. The community was never so toxic. The sandbox was about sand, not about bonking smaller kids over the head with the pail and shovel and then pointing and laughing. Who wants to voluntarily log into that? (people who lack agency and feel they "need" to I guess - they probably conduct their sorry lives outside the game like that too).
People who accept to see that as part of the sandbox, and optimise the best they can around it,
As you do you know
In a sandbox ......

But CCP isn't saving lives. You are drawing a false equivalency here.
Seat belts can save lives both of those who are reckless and those who are not.
Changing the nature of EVE might save some possible future player, but at the very real potential loss of a current customer. Further, we are not talking about your daughter or somebody's mother, we are talking about space pixels...in a game.
You are so far off base here you aren't even in the goddamned stadium anymore.
Yea it's specifically when people start equating a game's pixel lives as real ones that I really start to lose it.
