1. EVE is free!!!
Okay, let's be reasonable here.
1. Tractor beams on cargo contaners = transporting loot directly to cargo the same way a salvager does with salvaged components. Oh man I would LOVE this feature. Or, alternatively, a transporter module.
2. Less demand on CPU and more GPU utilization for general gameplay.
3. Ability for players to modify and release tweaks and changes for the entire UI. For example, instead of the tired, boring black and white text box showing your damage taken and produced, you can have screaming "in your face" type that emphasizes your wrecking hits, and such.
4. AURA says the system you are jumping into. Instead of "Autopilot jumping..." she says "Autopilot jumping into Jita." In that particular event, she'd also say "You know, there are lots of other viable trade hubs. Why not try Rens instead? Please?"
5. Removal of stargates in favor of just plain warp travel. Of course intrasystem warp speed would be significantly slower than interstellar travel. This one is so massively radical and game-changing that it probably would not happen in this particular game. Before pvpers whine about this one, I'd like to say that it would still be possible, maybe even easier, to hunt down, track, entrap, whatever.
6. Ability for players to tweak their onboard ship systems midcombat. Divert engine power to shields or weapons, for example, would be an excellent spice to add to the flavor of unpredictable combat.
7. Randomly occurring wormholes that players could voluntarily jump through to end up in who knows where. Let's say you're in Tierjev and you see a wormhole. "Oooh!" You might think as you are looking for some random fun or perhaps a handy shortcut. Then you end up in 0SHT-A.
8. Player ships can be visually customized with paintjobs, decals, ornaments... you name it. Due to the graphics lag this would inevitably cause, of course such an option could be turned off, but... still... like the sound feature, it's nice to have! Battle damage would also be cool to see, as well.
9. More weapon varieties instead of projectile, lasers, smartbombs, hybrids, and missiles. For example, an old fashioned battering ram type of gizmo. Or perhaps variations on similar themes, such as a type of hybrid that fires 3-4 shots per second (but weaker than a blaster, of course) or a disruptor beam variant of lasers.
10. More graphically diverse systems. Is it me or are systems either black and blue, green, and red? And by red, I mean lots and lots of red systems and constellations. It'd be nice to see some systems with unique backdrops, for example. I, for one, was seriously disappointed when I took myself to see the black hole landmark in Minmatar space... only to find that there was no black hole to be seen. Additionally, it would spruce things up to have randomly occurring events in some systems, like a random ion storm, or maybe a supernova. In Jita!
11. Improved warping animation. Instead of seeing your ship turn about and speed up and then enter a tunnel of sorts all of a sudden, you'd see your ship produce an animation like those star trek ships when they warp off. Or, if you'd prefer, you'd see a warp bubble/swirl/fractal/what-have-you forming before your ship as it turns to enter it.
12. Ability to see a player character's body and perhaps their current avatars by their ships as you target them. Such avatars would react based on combat events. Like, the toon's face would express extreme anger or fear should his ship be in structure, and alternatively the toon's face would grin wickedly as he scores a direct hit or appear to be laughing hysterically as he just blew a player's ship to pieces. |

I have only one wish - fix the lag.
If there was a second, I wish that nothing was nerfed from this point forward.

Yeah! We could call it 'HEAT' or something like that.
I still dont see the point of Heat to be honest. Even if I can divert 10% more power to the shields, wont the opponent just divert 10% more power to his guns?

Not fi someone else is shooting him, or he needs to keep up with speed, or or...it gives more tactical options to fighting.

Yeah maybe. Imagine when a gist shield booster user enables Heat for tanking, and it breaks his gist module... that will be fun to listen to in the forums later anyway. --- Eve Wiki | Eve Tribune |

I personally liked the idea of ships warping off like the ones in Star Trek did, that would be awsome. Then again, I'm just a trekker who plays EvE with the Next Generation Theme on loop

I remember a game that was called X: Beyond the Frontier (and its two sequels). It was in many ways quite EVE-like, except that the combat system sucked and you only had sublight speed to travel. And, you know, it was a singleplayer game.
What this game had, however, was a full voiceover description of nearly every object and faction around. You would choose to look at any object, and the ships computer would start ranting at you with background information. That added a LOT of immersion.
Doing something like this for EVE may not be a very practical use of CCP's resources and Dev time, but it resides among the top three of my personal "this would be awesome" list nevertheless.
Especially considering that many reviews I have read criticize EVE for its rather abundant use of unmotivated walls of text (agent missions anyone?). And it's quite true to an extent. And the tutorial clearly shows that CCP can deliver excellent voiceover if they want!

To you guys who scored my thread.
Right here.
I mean at the very least tractor beam auto looting your own cans would be nice to have.
Yeah, and if my ship was blown up by the Defiant or the Enterprise, I would be a happy little Moogie. If Voyager did it though... I'd probably have to browse through some castration brochures.

1. and if you don't want to transport ALL the loot because you only have so much room in the cargohold?
2. WTF? you think it's that easy or even possible to switch it!? What are you smoking?
3. The best idea here but it still sucks since there's better things for the devs to be working on.
4. There are over 5000 systems in EVE, and you want to make a recorded message for EVERY SINGLE ONE!?
5. No, it wouldn't be possible or easier? Besides what purpose would this serve besides make it impossible to defend your space through chokepoints?
6. I'm not even sure where to start besides that it wouldn't even make sense with the current system...
7. and this would serve to add what to the game exactly?
8. Cool, but like you said yourself too laggy to even be reasonable.
9. More weapon systems would A. Make it harder to balance all the different weapons B. Instead of weapons unique in thier own way the weapons would all be just slightly different from each other if you add more types.
10. Why? I mean why even bother with the backgrounds? Play the game for fun not graphics.
11. A. What purpose could this EVER serve B. LAGGG
12. For some strange reason they're working on avatars in system already, though i don't know what purpose this would ever perform. ____________

Yes yes its WOW. However..i played wow for a while, now..i hate/detest/spit up bile at the mere mention of it. But I will give WOW credit for..1...thing...the UI. The customization that was possible was awsome. So yeh, being able to tweak the UI a bit would be nice. And not 3rd party. Im talking..oh..changing the COLORS. (Did someone not take the Basic Art class? Contrasting Colors are good).

Itd probably come out more like "Autopilot jumping into Jjjiiiiittaa...I mean Kisogo..welcome to your new clone". Sound-Off for a reason, her voice annoys me.

Ahem..planned. (Planned is one step above soon, so..yeh, dont hold your breath yet. Actually..hold your breath, skin turns funny colors when deprived of oxygen)

Bad BAD. I could see devs having WAY to much fun with this. Itd be more like "Ooh" And you end up in a system with 400 people in the middle of a fleet fight. Then that "ooh" will have 4 extra letters on the end.

Yeh problem is bad lag. Some customization would be nice. One thing id love to see, battle damage wise is things flying OFF. Thoughts of the movie Serenity here.. "What was the port buffer panel?".

Actually id love to see a flak cannon. Fire, boom, small smartbomb type affect on proximity. Also...true autocannons. Really fast firing like a machine gun but weak, rof over dmg basically. Or how about defender's that actually..work?
And your idea 12..soon...ish..sorta..kinda...
Sig being redone. Please stand by.

Afraid of more to manage? And no, not neccessarily...you are thinking one on one. But in a large PvP battle, such changes would be harder to notice off the bat.
Have you (or anyone here) played Descent: Freespace or Freespace2? You had the ability to change power outputs to Shield Regen, Engine Power, or Weapon Recharge rates.
If you were getting ganked, you upped the Shield Regen, and lost some power to both your engines and guns. YOu would go a tad bit slower, shoot a little less damage out, but you would live long enough to take out some more threats so that you could set your systems back to normal, or give you time to warp out.

1) Agree
2) Agree; make more use of the GPU. It's not like this game utilizes Antialiasing. With the lack of antialiasing and several other features (and the minimal amount of stuff that needs to be rendered), the GPU can probably be utilized way more.
3) Agree. It would be kewl thave customizable UI's. Don't know why people have to cry WoW when they hear this. Just because it's something another good game (in it's own right) implements, doesn't mean EVE can't do it.
4) I have thought the same about AURA announcing the system as well that was being jumped to, or the stargate you were warping too. Maybe even the station you are going to. But at least the first one.
5) Dumb and too much to implement. An overhaul that wouldn't be worth the time invested into it. You are probably saying this to get rid of Gate camping.
6) Total agreement (see last post).
7) Absurd waste of programming time/expertise.
8) I highly agree with this one. This game lacks on individuality and customization. We don't ahve walking avatars we can customize real well. Let us at least pretty up our ships. And like with sound, if your PC can't handle it, turn it off. But there are plenty of us who would like to express ourselves, who have the computers to handle something like that. I don't even know what you people mean when you say tehre is lag in Jita. The lag there is no worse than say Stormwind in WoW was before the expansionin, or Corellia in SWG. Those places were lag central. Jita is nothing compared to those if you have a good computer and a decent connection.
9) OK idea.
10) More planet skins is all I care about. Though, if a system is supposed to have a specific anomoly (like a Black Hole) it would be nice if that was part of the backdrop.
11) I agree, would make the ride more enjoyable and more realistic looking than just a tube.
12) Pure ***.
