It's true: CVA only sets pirates KOS... because CVA's definition of 'pirate' includes 'anyone we set KOS'. |

Remember: God Forgives, -A- Didn't
Horde or -A- may be viable options. Karmafleet would likely get Lord Vaari's assets moved into their Keepstar, then wait until he undocks, kick him from corp, and let him try to get out of Delve in a skiff.
Mostly because I'd pay them to do it. |

What about the people who intentionally kill you in Providence, regardless of KOS? I mean, I've got a jump-hictor and some buddies, and you like to go where there's rocks...
Heck, maybe I can borrow a couple-dozen rorqs from Gaar-ohhhh, wait. He's gonna need to import a hundred or so new ones to keep his minions working, isn't he? |

Hey, is there a 'Redeem X number of Vaari-corpses for a Jin'taan corpse' program going on? Some guys in Waffles might be interested in that.
Alternately, is there a threshold for Vaari-corpse redemption that can get an alliance off CVA's 'red' list? A small group, say, only 26,000 people or so. It might be funny to try.

Tacky.
What? Everyone's allowed to laugh at Gaara but me? Pffft. It's funny. PL's gonna go trying to be all smug about hot-dropping the one guy in New Eden who has more money than their entire alliance and costing him... pocket-lint. |

Wait, Vaari's a miner. How about 'Whoever makes the most ISK in space in 7d'? That way both skillsets can compete. |

Merchant Rova wrote: Your alliance has lost enough Rorquals already, I'm not sure Vaari needs to add onto that total.
Vaari can't get into my alliance, first off.
Secondly, without any smug, or getting into just how many Rorquals there are operating in Delve right now, the 50 or so that were destroyed this morning were all the employees of one guy, Gaara's Sniper, and half of his fleet escaped. That's how much of an operation he's got. He's... kinda crazy, to be honest. So... he's not really a good metric for judging the alliance. |

You know, normally when you want to get something out of someone, you have to have something they want. What can you offer him other than more empty rhetoric, bluster, and headache-inducing stress? |

I really hate to agree with Lord KOS on anything, but you know you kinda undercut your case with that second bit, right? Cuz... that's basically the gist of Amarr values and faith, right there: "the 'rules' are for other people. Whatever we do is fine because the magical sky-fairy said so."
Quote:It seems to be that all others must bow to you and you yourself can do what you will.
Yep. That sounds pretty damned Amarr to this Sebbie's ears.

Erika Wallker wrote:There are many other Amarrian holders that are not like that, Arrendis. Those holders can actually listen, educate and correct.
Momiji Sakora wrote: Having lived with Amarrian's for several years of my capsuleer career I can attest to this not being the case. Perhaps 10 or 20 years ago, maybe even in some corners of New Eden far more recently, but they have their rules and scriptures, like many religions - they can be taken out of context, or bent to their own ideals. But for the vast majority this is no longer the case.
So they'd be fine with the Matari clapping them in chains for institutionalized generational slavery with the express goal of cultural extinction, then?
Because you know, last time I checked, that's still going on inside the Empire, and Miz and I just had very public spat over whether or not there's a snowball's chance in a stellar corona of convincing the Empire to release the remaineder of their slaves, or if we should just go ahead and launch into a G+¦tterd+ñmmerung in order to at least kill all the slavers before we die. |

Aria Jenneth wrote: While that's not totally wrong, Arrendis, it's more like, "It's okay for us to do what God told us to, even if those things would be horrifying if someone else did them to us (if only because that would make it harder for us to bring the rest of the cluster into the service of our god)."
Yes, and without any independent and empirical proof for the existence of the entity they're claiming 'told' them to do it, then Lo! It's right back to 'whatever we want', because somehow, 'divine will' always seems to be benefiting the people who get to determine just what the 'divine will' is.
So it's still 'Rules are for other people, we can do whatever we want because the magical sky-fairy told us to.'
Quote:If the Amarr really thought they could do as they pleased there'd be no need for penitence pits. (And I STILL want to know what's up with those, but not badly enough to be "tipped into" one. The Amarr seem to mostly talk it in "you don't want to know" sorts of tones. ... but, I really kind of do. So I guess it's more "I really, really don't want to talk about it.")
