So I was running lvl 4 missions when recon 2 of 3 is offered. I know this mission is just fly to a gate to complete. With my AB fit cruiser this takes a little time. So I thought to myself I can just grab my 3x warp core stabbed explorer helios and mwd it. So I do that. Mission complete in seconds and I get scrambled by an npc. "No problem!" I think to myself as I hit warp... Nothing... unable to warp. I check and its just one single npc scramming me. I hit warp again. Nothing. Then my 30 mill explorer ship goes boom.
Can anyone explain the mechanics? Npc have 3 point scramblers? |

That was my initial thought. So I took mouseover to verify, and it said 1x Mercenary Wingman on the warp scramble icon. |

Most people do that mission in a shuttle or a frigate. If you warp as soon as the NPCs appear, they won't have time to disrupt you.
Is it possible you were hung up on the gate or something? It's not even a true "scram" (although they call it that) because it's only 1 point of disruption. 3 x WCS should have gotten you out. |

Perhaps all 4 scrammed at first attempt to warp, damage started accumulating, only 1 succeeded during additional attempts done later at time of ship's destruction?
To buck the popular trend, I began to Rage Start instead of Rage Quit.

Dunno never tried stabs. also I usually warp out before the frigs even spawn. you can warp out as soon as you see a popup or any signs of anything spawning. typically something like 15km from the locked down gate.

You might be right. That might have happened actually. |

If I'm not mistaken, NPC scrams work differently. Any sort of NPC scram will keep you from warping, regardless of amount of scrams or warp core strength. |

its not ew, as soon as a scram/disrupt applies its on, ew is chanced based unless you overload the sensors.
I will say though that is you look at npcs, they have cheats enabled, like a mach will have 8 guns, plus missiles, plus defenders. also ive had frigs perma jam from 200kms out on my battleships aswell as soon as you kill 1 frig to warp away another immediately warp jams you (did this with about 10 frigs once)
as Kathy Fryar says Quote:If I'm not mistaken, NPC scrams work differently. Any sort of NPC scram will keep you from warping, regardless of amount of scrams or warp core strength.
it is completely possible because of the way NPCs behave, when rats started warping into and out of belts I had to chase a faction down that ran from me because they can have a full armor tank and infinite number of stabs with no penalties.
It will be interesting to see how the npcs will range being fit as a player with ccp announcing they will be fitting them with player fits in PYFA

nope. the dram with 3 warprigs has more speed than every ceptor (13.04 AU). the tank on the slasher is enough for part 3.

That's what I'm wondering also. Is there any way we can confirm this? Been searching the web but no real confirmation of whether this is the case or not. |
