last night i was running around looking for potential ransoms and loot drops. when on my scanner appeared a coveter and a hauler so i started searching for it and thought i found the belt it was in and warped to it. nothing there, but before i cold warp out and relocate them a cerebus warped in and engaged my drake. i was delighted and slowly responded to the new prize got with in tackling range and returned fire. the fight lasted all of 15 minutes where we both agreed that it would cost a lot more isk to continue the fight in ammo costs than it was worth to get a ransom or kill out of.
i don't mind having a draw in a fight or loosing them sometimes, i enjoy the exhilaration.
now your asking why would i want more fights like this.
there was no smack talk at all, none. just 2 pvpers doing the best they could and being as efficient as we could be. Bigwong i salute you and your professionalism in the battle we shared. you sir are among the few who have my respect.

Cool, had something very much the same happen to me about a month ago, I had my Ferrox, other guy in Drake. Just started throwing Heavy Missiles at each other until we both realized there was no way I beat his tank (Drake, Duh). Did put some damage his way, but not enough.
Told the guy I wished to disengage, and he was like "Fair Enough, good fight!", all handled very politly and was good fun.
Dont think its the same guy, but this guy was a true Gentelman as well.
Wasn't pirating though, was ratting with a PVP set up to pass the time (nobody around at time to engage in PVP).
I say prep for dustoff, nuke the site from orbit...

Seriously though, the good fights (where you have a possibility of losing) are always the most thrilling, if not terrifying. I don't mind losing ships in those fights. I didn't care much for it when I was pirating. Pirating is for profit, not fair/good fights.

Sounds like a decent fight, but I would not want more than one ina blue moon because I like to win
