They got heavily buffed on SiSi and people bought them up cheap with the hope that they will go up in price when the buff reaches TQ.

They should drop back down once folks clue in that that's not expected to happen until at least August and then maybe rise again once a firm patch date is announced.

Edited by: Kazuo Ishiguro on 13/05/2007 15:50:54 Still, this gives the inventors a chance to really rake it in - those ships are now some of the cheapest and most profitable around.
The stats are not yet final, but at present on the test server all the bombers are very similar. Now, if only I could predict which one more people will want to buy...

The only thing this benefits is the BPO owners of these ships. They are going to pump out massive amounts of these things while prices are high. Anyone hoping to make a profit on these is going to end up losing a lot of money. There is a massive production capacity of these ships nowadays... and even with the buff these ships won't be that much more popular. I'd bet ISK that people who are buying up these ships at such high costs are going to lose a lot of money while the BPO owners are going to make a lot of money until the price comes back down.

It also benefits those of us that bought them up just before the price exploded and then sold them back to the speculators at twice the price they used to sell for

Shad, have you seen the T2 bpo's for ships? massive production capacity isnt exactly what you'd call em.
With a bit of PE, in a NPC station you can make a whole 26 a week!! a few more if you use a POS.
Not exactly market flooding capacity

not really, if they do it wont work, as the market will flood and prices will plummet. Invention will stop any long term overpricing, if there is to much profit in an item, they will come in and hulk them to oblivion.
an inventor can out produce a bpo owner by several times, as they can build several ships at once, theoretically, with a ton of bpc an inventor could build about 220 a week, bpo owner can only just plod along. granted that's rather extreme, but it's possible for a good inventor to get 50 runs a week, prolly more

Can't BPO owners build copies to expand their production capacity more efficiently than inventors? If this is the case, why is any BPO owner having trouble competing by volume?

Have you bother checking the copy times on a t2 ship bpo?

Somehow I doubt that my answer is relevant, but no I haven't. I don't have access to EVE at my current location, & that particular statistic isn't listed in the item database. If you can't be bothered to actually answer a question, why do you post? Now that we have all the irrelevance out of the way, I'd still like an answer.

Oh come on for goodness sake, why oh why are there never tech II BPC's on the market.
Why can't someone just look on the dam tab, it's there for all to see! People can't come out with unjustified comments and then wonder why people get annoyed!

Since it seems you've been roundly trolled I figure perhaps you'd like the answer as well. Copy times on T2 bpo's are atrocious. If I remember correctly you can do 2 - 3 production runs in the time it takes to copy 1 licensed run on a bpc.
The Eve-Online forums may not have invented whining, but they sure have perfected it.

Remember, prices were where they were at with half as many BPO's in the market. Now that supply has doubled I highly doubt that demand will double from this change. Thus the price won't jump. Anyone buying the ships up at this new current price is just insane. Anyone who got em before this speculation will only make money if they are able to sell it right now before the price crashes back down.
