Edited by: Siang on 16/05/2007 15:54:14 Thought I make this a new topic but it comes from the following post (please read):
Linkage
And how about if the miner does not reply on the roit police, lets say after 15 min or so, an agent mission is triggert and kill rights are given for the ship that did not respond
If the person goes offline for example, you receive an evemail from your agent saying the mission is canceled without any standing loss. These are special missions that can fail without any consequences!
Multiple people can get the same mission, first come first serve! Like a bonus mission.
Something like this:
Agent mission.
Hi Siang, good to see you back.
We have a problem on our hands. Astroid patrol just reported a miner that did not respond to multiple attempts of making contact. Possible a microminer.
We want you to investigate this matter. The macro's name is <name> and is KOS. His pod needs to remain unharmed.
Agent reward: xxx LP. All loot can be kept.
Update:
When warping in after accpeting the mission, you'll see only that ship flashing red. Attacking him WON'T give his corp killrights over you!
Quote: I tried pressing the pause button earlier because my dinner was ready. When I came back I was in my pod.

All the legitimate miners need is more crap on the screen and things harrassing us.
We already get dozens of PMs an hour from people proclaiming us macros, GM PMs trying to determine if we are macros because someone reported us (usually ones we have already talked to or never tried to talk to us), constantly dodging suicide attempts, harrassment and bumping even though we aren't macros and are asking them nicely to leave us alone, etc etc etc.
Leave miners alone. All these so-called "anti-macro" ideas to is make legitimate miners quit mining and raises the profits for macros. It is CCP's job to determine who is and who isn't a macro and it can never be done through game mechanics and automated systems without catching legitimate players.
As for your suggestion, it actually lends legitimacy to macros by adding them to the game system?

Horrible idea.
Although small changes to the belt system, which was talked about recently might make a small dent in macros. But I agree with the other person, who said most of the suggestions to stop macros are well horrible, and just will make minning harder for miners.
Now small changes, won't hurt people, but something like this is lame.

So, between keeping our ore away from ore thieves, dodging suicide gankers, and deal with rats, you suggest that we have to reply to the roid police?
Sounds like a hemerroid to me. No thanks!

Still no answer to the micro miner then, to the disruption and stopping of the farms where they use wee kids. Coz that's what this is about, at least to me it is.
You who responded negative, please come up with something else.
I think that you want Empire to be save. Lots say it should not go without any risk. All you have care about is 2 wee rats shooting you.

that part would be usefull HOWEVER the majority of Macrominers are all in N00b corps. you rarely see a macro in a player corp

Sooo -not- signed. Most of us run missions because we don't want to PvP right then and there. And dealing with macro'ers is CCP's job, not mine to go and smack them around. Most folks who think a macroer is one, well, the person's just a student studying or gone afk when the accuser tries to convo them or talk to them in local, it's completely silly

why u wana buy some? lol
this prob is the 1001 post about macro miners but i dont see posts about mission macros or peeps that use an army of alts for research ie make alt, alt joins corp installs jobs del alt and start again on first step.
yeah macro miners can be bad if they show up on ur home system and pwn ur belts but if anyone has to do something thats ccp not us the only thing we can do is suicide gank but then again how can u prove it realy is a macro...
