I would like modules that run off of Capuleer corpses for charges. They should be OP and have horrifying in game visual effects to the ship inspired by HP Lovecraft or John Carpenters The Thing.
Any ideas or thoughts? Maybe a Halloween treat?
Auxiliary structure Repair capable of restoring all HP in one cycle but leaves your hull smoldering.
An ECM burst that works and floods your targets audio screams with tormented screams for the cycle.
Active Drone Damage module that also adds infinite number of writhing tentacles to your drones or Ship module.
It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross. But it's not for the timid.

Those all sound kind of stupid.
What do they accomplish, exactly? Overpowered stuff is silly and bad and no. Cosmetic stuff, though, might be slightly interesting for about 5 minutes. |

Because EVE players are EVE players. People WOULD use that "silly fun" hull repper, podkill their alt 10,000 times, and have infinite tank.
If anything added is noticeably better than the existing options, it becomes the new best, regardless of any effects. If it's limited, the price starts to skyrocket, and if it's not limited, it becomes the new baseline. |

I never defined what the length of one cycle would be. Would 5 minutes be balanced enough?

Uncork the pod and have some fun with it for a few. How about a salvaged module that recovers only piles of nameless Crew corpses from wrecks. Or unidentified alien larvae. Dig up some of your favorite sci-fi horror and take a swing.

rogue repair drones that take player wrecks and ships with ejected pods in drone sites and fly them half-repped into functionality and start getting SP for any skills attached to functional modules in the wreck, they don't despawn, they hunt players they've killed before, use any empty/destroyed module slots to build more of themselves using mats taken from other wrecks and infest others, they always have a repair beam that targets rogue drones and their zombie wrecks, and their skills don't stop at level 5
inb4 some wiseguy gives them a fully functional titan to play with
for safety of the game they only come out during spooky holidays like Halloween and the Wild Hunt and disappear into the far reaches of drone site mazes on the next new moon |

I'd settle for a Corpse Launcher in the style of the Festival Launchers ...
Except instead of dealing damage or making sparkly effects, The target ship just sees a named corpse come flying at him at ludicrous speeds and then splats on his hull, leaving a bloodstain in a random location on the ship that needs to be cleaned off using the SKIN menu.

How about corpse refined capacitor booster charges? Its a great way of creating a boosted faction class charge.
Azoth Combat booster-distilled from the remains of capsuleer pilots, these rare vials contain a fraction of the pilots skill points. The effects lasts for one hour, during which time additional SP can be used to boost abilities past what is current known for a short period of time.

Axure, my only problem with your suggestions is that it isn't very grisly, it just treats corpses as yet another material- that's lame, IMO. |

Reducing humans to raw materials is one of the deepest war-crimes ever committed. I will give you in eve its kinda lame. Here is something more interesting for you.
Infernal Mobile Micro Jump gate opens up a personal Wormhole to a random location for one pilot. What looks like a simple spiked ring, drastically changes when 13 pods are brought into range. Pods are then scrammed and webbed until it catches 13 pods and simultaneously destroys them. Focusing the sniffed souls opens an unstable wormhole for one damned soul.

Interesting, but not horrific, what does the pilot lose by using this method of popping random holes all over the cluster |

Since eve Lacks a true hell and the fear of death has no meaning, it would be left to being stuck in purgatory.
you could be trapped in an infinite loop of dead space complexes until next down time.
You could be dropped out 1,000,000 au from the nearest star unable to active your warp drive and unable to self destruct.
You could be dropped into a rookie system locked in an alpha clone state until next downtime.
Dropped into the Polaris system, stripped of your ship and surrounded by cans filled with plex and no way to take them. NO, you may not dock or take command of any ship but may roam your pod through dev cluster for one day.

Congratulations, you came up with even worse ideas. You tried. None of those ideas accomplish anything or add any meaningful gameplay.
I could get behind a corpse launcher that does 0 damage, though. Perhaps even some blood-splatter decal for the target ship, until they dock and select a new "clean ship" option?
See? THAT is how you come up with something cosmetic and fun, and otherwise pointless, except to annoy people. |

Thank you for your time. Fly safe. o7

that cap % amount is stupid, you run a couple of reps and you wouldn't be able to use the proposed aux module because "insufficient cap"
and yes the others are right, if it can be abused it will be, even mittani said that. it would stop people from podding their alts or farming a gank squad op

yes abuse its how anything is suppose to be used. The Mitinni has said a lot of things over the years. Purge Dissent Quietly and Ignore Industrialists are two that i keep in mind while playing eve.
Good to see everyone loves the Structure module.
What is does-Repair 100% structure. One Shot Rising. -5 minute cycle --90% capacitor -One pod cost 10,000 isk and the time to farm your alt. undetermined amount of bio-matter.

The Corpse Launcher should allow frozen corpses to be embedded in the spodumain's green extrusions. There they wait, soaking up latent cosmic vibes, to one day emerge in space again, green and glowing and on a, dare I say, mission. |
