When storing ships in a ship maintenance array all cargo must be emptied. This was done to stop people overloading a pos and bypassing the, then, pitiful capacity of a hangar array. Since this was boosted this requirement is, imo, not needed anymore. Please allow the storing of ships in a ship maintenance ARRAY with goods in the hold. Reikoku Diplomatic Forums |

please allow divisional hangars within the array as a second... every other array has divisional tabs except the ship array...

The fix to allow ships that have items in cargo to be stored at ship maintenance bays has been written a while ago. There were some difficulties with limiting just what items can and cannot be inside the stored ships, but we're working on solving those. Hopefully this feature will be ready in time for Revelations 2, both for ship maintenance bays and for maintenance arrays.

If I may ask, what items are you limitting? As far as I recall the issue is / was, of course, ice based products - but the now adequately sized corp hangar array negates the need for that...
or am I missing something? (DON'T SAY IT!) Reikoku Diplomatic Forums |

Why are assembled containers and courier packages a problem?
Is it a technical problem to store ships with those in cargo or is it because you want to limit how much you can store in a ship? If it is the latter then please consider to allow it. It does not increase store cargo capacity that much but having to remove containers before storing is an added headache (even if minor compared to today).
When you are at it please also make it possible to get/put items in containers that are in a POS hangar without the need for moving the container into yuor ship cargo first.

If I'm remembering some of my contracting antics correctly, the game won't allow you to put containers inside of containers (i.e. Contracting an Industrial ship w/ assembled Containers inside)
This is complete conjecture here, but is this because the game only tracks 2 levels of inner contents? I mean, since you can fly a ship w/ containers in it, but if you try putting containers in the containers, or put the assembled ship (another container, in a sense) in a larger container, say a Ship maintenance array, you're given an error, and prevented from performing the operation. Is this because if such a thing were possible, the game would only keep track of the innermost container, but not it's contents?
I definately understand where CCP is coming from if that's the case. Just imagine the flurry of reimbursement petitions when someone tries docking their industrial full of cans of loot, and when they pull it out again, it's all gone?
Of course, there might be another reason this restriction is in place, and I could be just talking out my ass. Anyways, just a theory.
