If they are given the role Account Take [wallet division number] and have the Junior Accountant Role will they have take access to that division wallet?
If yes then how do we just give view access to people ?
I like to operate an open corp where people can SEE what is going in and out of corp wallet.

if they have the junior accountant/accountant role but no account take role, they can still view the balances and journal for each division

Before the patch the Accountant role was required to take from the single corporation wallet iirc.
After the patch you will no longer need Accountant (or Junior Accountant) role to have access to a specific wallet division. You just need the wallet division (take) access (the wallet division view access role will no longer be available).
In order to give a corp member access to a specific wallet division you must have the specific wallet access as a Grantable Role or be a director in the corporation. the Accountant role will not be enough to give anyone wallet divisional access.
The Junior Accountant role will be able to view all the information in the corporation wallet (such as journal, transaction log, balance of all divisions, etc) but will no longer have access to the "Assets" tab (formerly Accounts) in the corporation window. That will be restricted solely to the Accountant role. I recommend restricting the Accountant role to a select few since it's no longer required to have access to the corporation's wallet.

Wallet export is a wonderful thing, badly needed. I love you. But did you *have* to wait until I wrote and debugged a text recognition program from scratch to grab the transaction log off the screen? I hate you. :)

I must be blind but I can't find the wallet transaction export option anywhere. Can someone post some directions? Thanks.

This is continued to be broken, but in a different way.
POS manufacturing seems to require having an active division set in the wallet.
Since most members have no reason to have an active division, this effectively breaks POS manufacturing unless I am mistaken.

Unless I'm missing it ...
Is there, or can there be a way to set income to a specific wallet?
The reason I ask is we own an Outpost. Currently the isk generated form that outpost, broker fees and offices, go strait to the main wallet. This can be a problem when it gets mixed in with all the other income from what the corp tax brings in. Doubly important because we have memebrs in the corp that want their share when we do monthly splits to include the broker fees and whatnot.
I dont' see an option in the Oupost interface to set the income to a specific wallet and see no other location this is setup in so I assume it's not currently possible.
Is that even a possibility or will we have to go with a shell corp (which we find seomwhat distressing as we want our corp name on the outpost, not soem random alt corp).

Apparently, only the CEO can rename wallet divisions. I imagine just right click on the wallet division when looking at the wallet division portion of the corp wallet.

The same way that the divisions can be named / renamed. It's on the same screen.

I am unable to start any manufacturing jobs until I have a division wallet set. However I do not have the corporate wallet tab only the personal tab.
Can someone give me the steps to assign a corporate wallet? Also what rights do I need to set a divisional wallet designation once I have the corporate wallet tab?
Thanks!

1) Same problemes here and if you have a trader which only should have access to set up sell and buy orders in a special wallet then you have to give him the whole "account take" -rights to do that. Then he also can take money from the corp and this account instead of only trade with the money.
2) If someone (or a title-group) has the junior-accountant role assigned, can they view every account or can I set them for different accounts?
3) I'd like to have the possibility to set every account to every title or member in some sort of a relationship (take / view). Titles should be like "Groups" which I can assign people to. Then giving these groups the same roles which I can give to members. But this has to include everything... some tasks >> lock/unlock items, take, view, open container, whatever... everything...

Someone could easily steal all the corp money using only the market, so it wouldn't do much good.

So how exactly does Starbase fuel technician work?
I gave the role to my alt for testing, but then I tried to open the Tower's resources I got the error message:
"You cannot perform that action on that object as you do not have the required role in your corporation, Starbase Config."
So if that role is not intended to be used to FUEL starbases, please rename it or give the proper access... Its desricpiton says: "Can refuel starbases and take from silo bins"
Thought it was the purpose to not give strabse Config to people if you just want them to fuel the POS. Or am I missing something?

Edited by: Imhothar Xarodit on 24/06/2007 18:53:56 Oh and, why does my alt have the "Corporation Wallet" available when I take all roles from him?
Well, it does not display the balance in the big number at the top, but he can simply switch to the "Wallet divisions" tab and all wallets are displayed there including balances.
Additionally my alt was asked twice to select a current division (souldn't have any corp wallet access, remember?) and was denied twice. Can't reproduce it for a log file unfortunately as he finally "none" as active division wallet.
Edit: Corporation wallet read-access stil available with all roles removed and after relog.

bump.
A general overhaul is necessary. A lot of access rights haven't been thought through. As I told before, every possible action should be attachable to one single character or group of characters (titles).
- reading division 1 - reading division 2 - full access division 3 - reading / trading division 4 - no access division 5 - reading / take from container but not take the container (!) division 6 -
same with account divisions, otherwise you can delete this feature... :-(
corp management needs a HUGE HUGE overhaul and since a corp is an important basis for a lot of people to have fun, please overhaul it fast...
there are too much bugs at the moment...
cheers speed

We definately need changes in the current wallet system.
What I'm missing//hoping to see in the future:
CEO//Director should be able to assign//force ppl to use a specific division (All their income comes or goes form that specific division only)
POS Labs//Offices//Assambly plants all withdraw ISK from the master wallet. Each Corp Lab, Assabmly Slot etc should get an option with "target Division" and "withdrawal Division" in the configuration window.
Currently Pos Labs etc allways withdraw money from the corporate master division. A selection menu would be nice, which also allows to modify that (withdraw from specific division or even withdraw from installers personal wallet instead of corp wallet)
There should be an option to give specific persons a role that only lets them view a selected division, not all divisions accounts. Also, there is an option to allow ppl to withdraw from a specified wallet, there should also be an option to allow ppl to only give to a specific wallet division.

Edited by: Imhothar Xarodit on 05/07/2007 01:01:40 There also seem to be problems with the "Last Online" attribute of members. We have some members who haven't been online for weeks or months and stil they are displayed as online all the time. Using the "Edit Member" option on then displays their last online time as "None (0 seconds ago)". My guess is these people haven't logged in since the feature was implemented but I don't know.
Additionally, I don't clearly understand what time is used as display. Is it the time they logged in the last time, is it the time they logged out the last time or what exactly is used? (As the latter would be of bigger interest).
In addition, when sorting the member list by "Last Online", the entries are sorted alphabetically: 1. Online 2. More than a month 3. Last week 4. Last day in that order.
But if I sort the member list by "Last Online" I expect the list to be sorted by the actual time they were last online.
I also would know what exactly stands behind "More than a month" and "Last week". WoW has it solved nicely, in the guild's member list you see entries like "20 minutes ago", "4 hours ago", "1 day ago", "3 days ago", "1 week ago", "3 weeks ago", "2 months ago" etc. It gave you a better overall picture on your member list and the sorting worked properly. Keeping the detailed view with date and time on Edit Member is fine.

Trying to use Corp Mgmt features for the first time, as for once we have new members who should not have all privileges. It's confusing and seems inadequately designed and implemented. This has to improve or corp is broken for good and productive use.

Just found out that this is intentional, and not a bug. When you put in an application to a corp, you are automatically brought into that corp when the application is processed (assuming your role cooldown period of 24h is over). I foresee a lot of petitions getting generated because of this, because, as I have seen, people tend to put in applications and wait awhile before accepting the offer, so that they can get their items moved out of what would then be neutral (aka hostile) space.
People can very easily quit their corp, finish their affairs and apply when they're ready. It will cut down on the large amounts of impotent applications that are made to corporations on a daily basis.
indeed, this was by design to simplify the process. It does require making current players aware of the change which hopefully they will be if they have read the published blog and the patch notes when they come.
I definitely think this helped the application process. My question regarding this is when you want to reject an application and that player has roles or are in that 24 hours stasis period it won't complete the rejection. Is this a bug or an accidential cause of the new process? Either way, will it be resolved in the next update?
