Hi
Happy New Year bros
In the description it says immune to all forms of Electronic Warfare. Same with Titans.
If that is true how can one ever die? I mean don't pilots who use these just at some point stop shooting and warp?
Help out a new player please to understand game mechanics.
Cheers. |

Bubbles. Heavy Interdictor scripted points. Bumping. For normal capitals, getting doomsday'd. Inopportune disconnects.
That's most of the list, anyway. |

They can be stopped by all forms of Warp Disruption Bubbles.
Since they can go to Lo-Sec and Bubbles can not be anchored there the Heavy Interdictors have a module called the Warp Disruption Field Generator which is basically a Bubble that forms around their Hull. The Warp Disruption Field Generators can be scripted like a Tracking Computer or Sensor Booster. The script turns the Bubble into a long range Warp Disruptor (30km T1, 36km T2).
This Disruptor is referred as an Infinity Point. No amount of Warp Core Stabilizers, Warp Strength Bonuses or EWAR Immunity can break it. Not sure if the Interdiction Nullifiers on the T3's can though. Does anyone know if they can slip through the Infinity Point?
Edit: Never mind, Interdiction Nullifiers only stop non targeted modules. Infinity Points are targeted. |

I should point out that normal capitals like carriers and dreads are only immune to EW when in triage/siege mode. These modes immobilize them; they cannot move, warp or jump while in this mode. So although you can't point a triaged carrier, there really isn't a reason to anyways. The cycle time on the siege/triage mod is 5 minutes and cannot be interrupted. They also cannot receive any beneficial remote effects like RR in these modes either, so simply burning through their tank is a fairly simple matter if you have enough dps. Outside of these modes, they are every bit as vulnerable to all forms of EW as any other ship.
Super capitals are simply immune to it. They do not have the triage/siege penalties of being unable to receive positive remote effects nor are they in any way immobilized. They are widely considered borderline invincible in low sec, although one does occasionally die there, because of this. The only way to possibly kill one in low sec is to have at least one HIC in fleet with a scripted point. The trouble is this is a rarity since HIC's in low sec are of absolutely no use outside of pointing supers. In null they use unscripted mode and catch basically everything, thus they are more common there. |

Bear in mind that regular warp disruptor is enough to stop an ordinary capital from jumping and that a neut is not considered as a form electronic warfare so any super cap can be neuted to death (and you can only jump with 97% of max capacitor IIRC) and jumping consumes most of your capacitor.
Also log off timer has been changed to reset each time you get aggressed so logoffsking no longer saves your precious from being annihilated. |
