Edited by: Xviix on 28/05/2007 10:43:33 Ive been reading a bunch of different threads in the skills section of the forum and i was wondering if i actually needed to remake my character. I decided early i wanted to get into combat and stuff so i pumped up my perception quite high.
But after doing some research and being told by others - i should keep them kind of spread out, anyway what do you guys think ?! ( using a +1 intel implant and thats all ) Also are there any specific races [img=http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/5382/untitled1eh6.jpg]

Well, it's totally up to you. You already invested in several 4 mil Advanced Learning skillbooks, plus of course the time spent on this character.
Willpower will hurt for training for ships, which you will be doing a lot of. Charisma, which used to be totally useless, is now needed for leadership skills, which are a requirement for carriers and command ships.
Granted, these attributes can be raised with some +4s and finishing the learning skills, but if this were my character, I'd delete it and start over again. -----------------------------------------------------------------

It looks fine to me, perception is a bit high but that's not a problem for someone who's into combat. =AFK=

What attributes would you try and achieve while making a new character, what attributes, race and stuff?

if u dont care about race go for caldari achura u could e.g. do:
int 10 mem 8 per 10 wil 8 cha 3
thats how i would do it (combat) i guess... though cha is quite low, but well

Races are pretty much cosmetics only... <insert Amarr whining idiots> You can start as a shield-tanking slow Caldari and train towards the speedy armor-tanking Matar. Just pick what you would like first. Like pretty pew-pew with huge tanks and the best Recon ships? Go Amarr. Like solo-PvP? Go Gallente, or Matar, but they are more skill-intensive (Need good skills in several subjects). Want to be uber at PvE? Go Caldari.
And as said before, distribute points evenly. A PvP-focussed character will still require attributes that are mostly used for industrial skills, and vice-versa. Being well-rounded at the start, and boosting attributes with implants where necesarry, is much better than being crippled later on when you have invested playing time and ISK in skills.
Then again... It's YOUR character, do what YOU want with it. -----------------------------------------------------------------

I think this is the best advice anyone can give a newer player.
You will get a lot of people telling you how to play, take the useful suggestions, but in the end, make your own mind up - you will enjoy the game more that way.

Not really worth it to start over IMO. High Perception will do you good if you're going combat. The rest you'll get to around 20 anyway with all the skills and implants.

Soo.. your base stats are:
Int - 6 Mem - 4 Percept - 14 Will - 10 Cha - 5
I guess it would all depend on how much time you have invested into the character already. If you just ended your trial, I'd consider rerolling. If you've been playing for a couple of months, I wouldn't. There are worse things than being Percept/Willpower heavy. You aren't *that* bad off.

if you bother to finish off learning skills upto 5/4 and learning 5 and plug in some +3's this really wouldnt be a bad set of attributes, your percep would be especialy nice, and you'd do combat skills pretty quick, id finish learning skills and get some implants then dont bother rerolling, you could get some pretty nice percep with that base
