Not that many of you care or anything...
The corp that brought you the likes of Butter Dog, Mynas Atoch (our favorite angry scotsman), and everyone's favorite Hobo's, Is closing it's doors.
ISSN was a stepping stone for many people for their first taste of 0.0 space, and alliance level warfare. We hope that some of you remember that fondly.
It's never an easy decision to close a corp, but it is sometimes necessary. ISSN has been largely without a clear purpose since the loss of the ISS outposts.
I'd like to think that despite our "noobishness", we brought fun to various hostiles during our time going from outpost to outpost. Be it Curse Coalition, and CDC around Marginis in the early days, or Triumvirate, During our 1 month run EC-P8R (and the day we lost 30 BS's, trying to assault a POS, I hope they enjoyed the fights.
And ofc, The Establishment, with Hera. Many a wasted hour and forum thread on how to take that damn thing down
Most of ISSN remains within ISS, continuing to provide some PVP support, and defending the alliance we hold dear.
See you around in space.

End of an Era for ISS, but at the same time it's role was largely complete with the closure of the outposts.
Originally conceived at the launch of the ISS outposts, the model with the distributed members across both the North and South and the restrictive engagement rules didn't give it much of a fair chance either.
Glad to hear many former Navy Pilots can find a home in the other corporations. Good luck.

Fond memories of freighter ops, egg sitting, being blown up by tri, bob, iac, veto, etc.. and getting them back. Lots of fun working with UK, less so with LV thanks to game mechanics.
Respect to those I flew with, especially: Gaul, Zephyir, Stins, Thor, Morpheus, VScorp, Empyre, Antion, Koe, Sgt Napalm, Algey, Plymer, Supay, Capt. Lysander, Mynas, Solarwinds, and Jon Hawks. Respect to the enemies we made too.. Darkness & Ace101 spring to mind...

Many of us care, Antion. Goodbye ISSN, fondly remembered.
ISSN was my introduction to 0.0, PvP and alliances. It turned me from a casual player who dropped in and out of the game into an addict. Thank you to everyone who made my stay there so much fun, and so much drama! We tried, we had fun, we got blown up, sometimes we won, but often we got blown up. We learned. We grew friends - I see you all over space, and often on TS and in gang. We collected adversaries - I see YOU all over space too, and amazingly often in gang! We acquired grudges (Iron and D2 down, Razor next). Goddamit, EVE is a Great Game. But without ISSN, I would never really have found it.

ISSN was never up for the task. That has nothing to do with the pilots in it, but everything to do what ISS member corps expected that ISSN had to do.
The expectations where too high, and the resources too low. Sad such noble thing actually has to shut down.

I'm sad to see ISSN go, but it's also good to se all the old faces in this thread. Like Mynas and so many others here, ISSN was my first true introduction to 0.0 fleet operations and alliance PvP. Good times and good company were never in short supply in ISS ops.
Hats off to the management for making half-decent PvPers out of a bunch of pretty inexperienced players. Fly safe out there!

My greatest EVE memories have been and will continue to be the time I spent with ISSN. From the CC/CVA war, to EC-P8R, 9UY and the start of the New Eden war, ISSN was always the place I called home. ISSN was the closest to being a 'real' military in EVE with a rank structure and deployments. It was truly a unique experience that no one is able to make now.
To the many friends (and the long hostile list :) ), I would like to say Thank you and I look forward to seeing all of you in space.

ISS dead? tbh I've been really busy in RL so I haven't been able to play much in the last 2 months. Evidently there's still some targets up north though... perhaps we could talk Mynas into organizing an ex-ISSNers road trip north out of EC one night?

Hmmm.
I have some good memories, though I cringe when I think of how much of my time and effort went into (trying) to make ISSN credible and up to the task.
When I first joined we had only about 20 members, mostly alts, and an average of 4 people online at a time. We peaked at about 200 members (lots of alts and spys of course ) and I believe the largest gang we fielded was about 60, in defence of the CC/CDC invasion of ZXIC. Quite a turnaround considering how much of a challenge it was attracting PvP oriented players to ISS.
The roadtrips to places like EC-P8R were also pretty good, and in some ways we were pioneers of mass figther bombing (doing it with regularity before it become widely popular).
At times I felt we made real progress, the quality of our PvP increased dramatically (though was still lacking at times) and we became pretty good fun to fight, I hope. I like to think were were willing and not too concerned with things like K/D ratios.
And ultimately, well, I am still flying alongside friends from ISSN - the majority of whom I originally recruited. So, we weren't all alts and spys at least
RIP, ISSN.

It's sad to see you go, ISSN. ISSN was my first 0.0 corp and really taught me to PVP since I started to find mission running in a raven boring. From ISSN, I developed into a blasterthron and sniper megathron pilot and they really taught me how to fight in fleet and gangs. Some good times that I remember include:
1) Remote repping ISS Cassini (EC-P8R) after we conquered it. 2) Shooting at a POS in EC-P8R with battleships (bad idea, I didn't even have T2) 3) Raiding Finis Lumen home system 4) Small gang fights with IAC up till the very end 5) Mynas as the top victim for losing his blackbirds

Well trying to conquer it, finding that there were bugs, then conquering it again with a smaller force and remote repping it. We had good chats while remote repping it and we got to shoot anyone who was curious. I think I recruited Mynas at that time and he showed up in a blackbird to help out his first op.

Farewell ISSN, I will miss you.
I had a great time when I was part of it. Really, it was pure fun. The players in ISSN were a great bunch and there were some real good characters in there. I never had much ISK yet that meant nothing. I could always find exciting pvp.
It was truly one of the best times ive ever had in Eve.

Respect to ISSN and all ex-ISSN pilots. It never ceases to amaze me to see the kind of amazing pilots that the ISS project has attracted over the years, especially to the navy. It's a pleasure to fly with you guys whenever I get the chance. It's always fun to see recognizable names in local, gang, alliance/corp, and overview. My first 0.0 experience and definitely made a big imprint on my Eve playing. End of an era!

Well, its quite funny because most of the really old-school IAC members flew alongside us in many suicidal but very fun gangs.
The newer ones fought us. But the old times with IAC/ISS against CC/CDC were the best, and I don't think thats just nostalgia. Course, we had to go ruin it all by napping CC/CDC.

Butter Dog, Mynas Atoch all i can say is i cant find a better group of arrogant tardz to run a corp...
ISS was my first experience into 0.0 space, and it was the lamest pvp attempt there could ever be...
On the contrary, i give my respect to your cause of defending the ISS space and outposts so people could get a foothold of 0.0 life and trade.
Hope you gusy come back some day i miss all the free kills tbh
