Edited by: Khan Dhu on 05/06/2007 06:42:25 I've decided to sell this, but being as I want to be gracious about it, I'm going to conduct this a bit differently than I've seen typical auctions run.
I'm auctioning off an Ogre II BPO researched to ME20/PE20. It doesn't need to go much higher - at ME20 the waste is already only around 400 isk per drone. You can produce 45 per day (1350 per month) in a station and 60 per day (1800/month) in a POS using a Drone Assembly Array, and production costs (at ME20) are hovering around 200k per drone right now (stats courtesy of MLCalc and current Rens/Jita pricing).
But besides that, and to sweeten the deal a bit, I'm including the following:
- A R.A.M. Robotics BPO researched to ME/PE100 - wasteless.
- A Particle Accelerator Unit BPO over-researched to ME20/PE50 - wasteless.
- A wasteless Creodron R.Db BPO in case you feel the need to research the blueprint further.
- A Drone Assembly Array (slightly used) - sell or use, your choice.
- And perhaps the biggest benefit of all, 500 units of RAM Robotics I won't be using after the sale. These are probably the biggest pain-in-the-ass subcomponent to make time-wise, and 500 is enough for your first 5000 drones. These take about as long as the drones themselves to make, and it'll be one less thing to worry about. If you aren't able to jump them, they'll melt down into a decent amount of minerals, regardless.
I'm not expecting more isk for these, they're just things that'll help the buyer more effectively get started building drones, and certainly things I won't be needing after I sell the BPO. Also, rolling your own subcomponents lowers your cost of production enough to be worth it.
Also, since I see a lot of BPOs up for auction but little proof of ownership, here's a screenshot of not only the particulars but proof the BPO is in current production (one last run): Link to Proof of Ownership
Auction will run until Monday, June 9th at the start of downtime. There is a fifteen minute sniper rule which if tripped extends the auction by another fifteen minutes until one party emerges the winner.
The particulars:
Opening bid: 5 billion isk Minimum increment: 100 million isk Reserve: 8 billion isk Buyout: 12 billion isk
Delivery must be made in easily-accessible (i.e. systems which don't require low-sec traverse to get to) high-sec for obvious reasons, all "extras" will also be moved to the chosen delivery site/station by yours truly and placed on the contract.

I thank you for the bump. I've been monitoring drone invention threads quite closely in SS&O ever since Chron's first reply. As it stands now on SiSi the only drones worth inventing are Hammerhead IIs. Heavy Drones will require six datacores in total, and even considering 50-100k per core after the "crash" that will add 30-60k on top of the current build prices, not taking into account failures in the invention process. If cores cost *more* - and there's a considerable possibility that they will go back up in price after the end-of-lottery liquidation supply runs out, the cost of producing these drones through invention will keep the price within its current range.
The pricing was reached from examination of the last auctions (4/18 in particular), and the buyout was adjusted accordingly to current pricing trends, and lowered. I know the "extras" are somewhat redundant but otherwise helpful to a potential new producer and aren't meant as an inflation.
I thank you for your assessment, but I'll have to respectfully disagree for the time being.

i have to support this assesment i think the drone and ammo invention is pretty much a fail safe to make sure it doesnt sky rocket as t2 mods gets more everymans fitting. the need for t2 ammo will increase but invention of ammo and drones prolly wont be porfitable at the current market prices. as the need for t2 consumalbes increase invention of them will be profitable but i dont think we are there yet.. some drone prints maybe have reached it and maybe some sniper ammo but i think general ammo and drone prints will still hold a value of a couple of bills in the future.
and a free bump

Edited by: Khan Dhu on 05/06/2007 08:10:35 Thank you for the bump. In the spirit of compromise, and the passage of two months' time since the last Ogre II BPO sale, I've lowered my minimum to an already-been-offered 4 billion, my reserve to 6b down from 8b, and my buyout to 10b. Same timeframe applies and superfluous extras still included if desired by the buyer.
