Hi,
I have a question on behalf of my corp. We've been looking into putting up a 0.5 POS. However we can't seem to raise standings. We know we need 5+ standing with the faction in question. We've also read that it takes time for standings to update, but we've been at it for weeks now.
First we had all people with less than 5 standing leave corp. Then we had the remaining ones running missions, and each of them did at least one storyline mission (yes, with the right faction). However standings did not change.
As a last resort one of us with 7+ base standings left corp and formed a new corp. He then did missions, including storylines, and his own standings raised. But the new corp¦s standings are still neutral to everyone, even after the latest storyline mission after downtime!
Are we doing something wrong or are corp standings just broken..`.

Corp standing are bugged, it shows the cached version. So you can either clear your cache or have some else check the corp standing to see the current corp standings.

There is some debate that updates to corp standings is broken. I've not seen it myself mind you and I actually pimp myself out to enable people to anchor high sec pos's. That does not mean there isn't a bug though. There is, also, a "display" bug that causes allot of high anxiety. When checking yourself, your own corp info, it does not update. You have to clear your cache, something only for the wise to do, or have someone not in that corp look over the corp info. I'd have looked myself but you are in DCM and I can't be sure if any of the listed corps in your history is the one you are referring to in this post.

Edited by: Danai Eridani on 09/06/2007 19:25:07 Hi,
it was indeed a caching issue. When I cleared cache the standings cleared up. Everyone in our corp had the same issue, that's why we all couldn't see our standings change.
Thanks for the tip. :)
PS: This char is in DCM due to the corp switch. Another char was doing the POS. :)

A somewhat related question - my corp's standings were (still are) bugged, so I also cleared my cache and had someone else do a Show Info on my corp to view the standings. But (as usual) he saw the basic, unmodified standings (that is, before skills). When putting up a POS, which standings are considered - the base or the modified ones?

yes it's the base standings
which is annoying my alt, her standings are to low for our alt corp(they wern't 0, 0 or over 5.01 for the alt corp) so I can't use the drone assembly array to build my ogre 2 bpo till her standings go up(or I train Franny's industrial skills )

Once the tower is anchor corp standings don't matter any more. The corp standings are based on everyone in the corp. If u have 2 members with 10.0 standing and 2 members with 0.0 standings ur average corp standing is 5.0. Which is why alot of corps are hiring someone with high standing to make a corp for them with the proper standings. The fees for this vary with who u hire to do it. I charge a flat fee of 100 mil for corp standings good enough to anchor a tower in 0.5 space
