Edited by: Ryysa on 13/06/2007 11:40:18 Hi.
Intro: This is part a small challenge, part isk giveaway, part making contacts to likely-minded people and part shameless self-promotion.
How it works: You download a mix I made (), this is the shameless self-promotion part. The mix is sort of proggy downtempo trance, if you don't like that sort of EDM a lot, then stay away :) It's 67 minutes long, and consists of 17 tracks. You will be compensated however. While listening to the mix you try and "ID" each track. "ID"-ing will consist of pointing out the track's name, artist and version (Mix/Remix etc). For each track correctly ID'd, the character that posted will receive 10 million ISK ingame. There are no limits - if you are good and are able to ID 10 tracks you will get 100 million isk. Obviously, only the first correct ID's will receive ISK. It's important to note that if you attempt to ID a track, but badly mistype the name or the artist, or indicate the wrong version, you will not receive anything. The first person to get it right claims the reward.
Format: Here is a small guideline to how you should post the answer. Position: number or time index from start of the track Track: Artist - Track Name [Version]
Links: Link to the mix (Save Target/Link As) My website - more free mixes under music, if you are interested.
Status: 1. ID 2. ID 3. ID 4. ID 5. ID 6. ID 7. ID 8. ID 9. ID 10. ID 11. ID 12. ID 13. ID 14. ID 15. ID 16. ID 17. ID
Regarding copyright: DJ Mixes of EDM have always been a grey area. Technically, it is not 100% legal to distribute mixes, however there are a couple very important points to make. In the EDM scene, distribution of mixes is heavily encouraged, and the cases where any prosecution has taken place are extremely rare. This is due to the fact that most of the EDM producers heavily rely on their music being promoted through exactly these DJ mixes. The DJ's buy the music, and they cause more people to buy the music. Also, the music that is distributed in mixes can be considered samples and also it is modified from it's original form. Not to mention the fact that there is a very distinct difference between public broadcasting and playing your music to a closer knit community. If you like any of the tracks in particular, please support the producers, using one of the many estabilished MP3 distribution sites, such as: Trackitdown Beatport Audiojelly iTunes All of the above sites also provide samples, and it might be a good idea to start there if you don't know for sure which version of a particular track is used.
- Have fun.

Hehe, good luck. This mix is really not mainstream, and it will probably be quite an effort to ID everything ;)

Hehe thx, you can download more mixes of mine on the website I provided.
And if there was singing in every track, it'd be **** easy since you could just google everything. I think 2-3 tracks are googlable in that mix, rest will need a bit more effort

Bleh, I was going to compete, but when it comes to putting names to the tracks I fail miserably. I cna recognise alot of music, but identifying it as a particular song/artist isn't something I do. I just go "I like this song" /me plays music...
You take what is offered. And that must sometimes be enough. |

Need you to tell me the version, and the index more correctly. Positionally you are wrong, however this track is in the mix, you also did not specify the mix/version.
Sorry for being slightly anal about it ;)
