Ok eve has been going for some time now but its more then a little dead in some ways. why not put some system trafic news , base attack news and night club news and things like that on the billboard ? Add some seens on there it will not take long to put a pick on the screen. for when i think about eve and giving it some life this link will give you a feel . this has to be a space night club

The current bill bord code is very old (several years) and the person who wrote it has left the company. There was plans to rewite it so that corp adds could be displayed but it was a low priority task and they had more important isuses to deal with like lag.

Yeah I know, it's a pretty funny story. However, at least for me, I would have preferred billboards over Heat anytime. Adding more depth and fun stuff to the game instead of yet more min-maxing numbers.

Yes, as far as I can remember Freelancer had great news and missions. EVE missions are just not generic enough. It doesn't feel like everyday work, but like something that would normally just happen to you once. I'd cut out all or most of the special descriptions, names and stuff and instead make them more like the 'yet another goup of pesky pirates' type of job you know from Freelancer or Privateer. Then once in a while you get something more special. The best would be if the team responsible for missions would recycle and create special missions (the ones you definitely recognize) all the time. So you get all of them only once. Doesn't have to be big changes. Just enough so that they don't look like the exact copy of your last run.
