I find it wherther unacceptable that it requires Energy Management 5!
I have around 10 mill skill points myself, and have been in EvE for sometime now, but newer players will really get ****** over by this.
I request this changed to lvl 4, or maybe to Energy System Operation 5 instead.

Heat is ment to be used rarely.
One way to do that, make its skill requirement a pain in the ass ______

Edited by: Aramendel on 15/06/2007 20:43:52 It's a bit over the top TBH. Especially for a game element which is clearly visible in the UI. It's like if warping would require warp drive ops 5.
Oh well, 12 days till EM5.

So older players become better? Seriosly, around 50% fo players have it to V. Those are most likely older ones. Well, what prevents you with that skill to use that feature every time you undock? nothing. ---

as it will be the corner feature of tec3 I think this skill requirement is pretty fair.
after all the skill is a usefull one!

Energy Management V is a skill that any respectable pilot should have.
Train it to V and stop whining.

Hm, if i remember correctly, the idea was to make new players able to catch up and be on par with older even tho theres gap in SP.

As a newer player, thats not a good time investement. Why? I can train for the same 12-14 days:
Medium *Race* Turret V Energy Systems Operation V + Hull Upgrades V *Race* Cruiser V
All those skills give far more benefit. So Id train it only after I done with above. And that means that others will be able to use heat as much as they want, as much as they can. Doesnt decrease its usage at all.

HAHAHA! GG CCP.
Firstly, implement a feature no one really cares about.
Secondly, make it totally chance based and only functional over a ridiculously short time.
Thirdly, ignore everyone pointing out that it's pretty damn useless.
Fourthly, make it's skill prerequisites so high that it's only potential audience, newer players, won't use it.
THIS WAS CLEARLY DEVELOPMENT TIME WELL SPENT.

Well, it was +/- comparsion. Id rather invest those 12-14 days into 60+% of Cruiser V then train it for a skill that is needed only when you already skilled and can fly the ships that req Cruiser V. ---
