You know, building an OP in BoB's space was your own fault. Unless you took over that space on your own accord, you should never expect that your presence be a 'right'. That goes for all of BoB's janitors running around keeping things clean for them. I hope you had fun while it lasted and learned your lesson. I'm not trying to sound arrogant either, but you sided with them and now you payed for it.
As for the arguement about BoB being worried about Xelas's capability of holding that space ; LOL. Yeah, I'm sure it was everything to do with that and not a deal they made with someone else to take over that space that offered BoB something they were interested in.
Like BoB cares if a resident loses their space. It's not as if they can't send in MC to completely destroy anything in it's wake. (See Recent Northern War for reference...) Aside that, even if they did truely suck, all BoB had to do was stand idly and make up lies about why they couldn't help Xelas defend their space if it ever came to that. If is also a far stretch because I highly doubt ANYONE will be attacking BoB space for quite a long time. BoB could have taken the high road, but that's not what BoB is known for and I find it funny that all these people working so closely with them are the ones always in the most shocked state when they realized they've just been screwed.
Make no mistake about it, this is just BoB being BoB and playing by the games rules. Ethics don't matter much so long as what they do is legal, they'll justify it to no end because above all this is just a game and moral doesn't matter, apparently. __________________________________________________ I survived CCP eating all my sigs and all I got was a crappy colorful moderator message... colorful? -Sahwoolo ... =( |

You know there are some really good people in Freelancer Alliance, don't sully their names with your rants. Why are people so thrashing toward STC? Look at the leadership in many of the major successful alliances, you will see STC somewhere in there. It was a good corp in the past and continues to be today.

What did you do, read my first paragraph and then ignore the rest? Seriously though, you rented the land and now you payed the piper. How else can you look at it. There's a reason why a lot of people don't like BoB and you just found out the hard way and that's my point in that post. Sure it's rough to lose land, I know too because I lost it thanks to BoB as well. Can't do much aside learn your lesson and move on. By the way, don't insult the stature of my alliance by saying I represent them in their entirity. Everyone has the right to their own opinion and it's absurd to think everyone is a clone of every other member in their alliance. __________________________________________________ I survived CCP eating all my sigs and all I got was a crappy colorful moderator message... colorful? -Sahwoolo ... =( |

You're not a clone?!? No hard feelings, rant as you wish, everyone is definitely entitled to their opinion. BTW, I wasn't insulting your alliance, I said that it has some very good people in it, i.e. I have respect for it.

Considering we're KOS, right now, I expect it'll be a fairly long time. Neither side seem to have a very high opinion of the other, judging by what's been posted. It seems more likely STC will go it alone for a while.
KOS: Well, not for everyone. You are not really all that important. Just a nuisance imho. I suggest you take a deep breath. And I guess I may have to actually look at these forums once a month.

To be honest, I was a little surpised to see Setenta go back to the BoB table after having already been done once.
Not for nothing, but I hope that being done twice made a sufficient impression.
Good luck guys. Learn and move on.

Farmers from Singapore? Not surprising, given the general attitude to MMOs given by my compatriots here. They try to make money out of everything, those bloody cheapskates.
I'm from Singapore, but don't worry, I like PvP as much as the next BoB guy. ;)
(But it's heavily limited to weekends now that I'm conscripted to the military )
Anyhow, we took the outposts from Setenta Corp. I feel really bad for you guys for spending all that effort to put it up and only to get repossessed by us. There's nothing I can do personally, since I participated in taking over the outposts while following orders. It's just business, mate, no hard feelings involved. ---------------

i think actually that xelas numbers were approaching the mystical 1000 mark where sirmolle goes for a standings reset ( same happened with FIX) xelas should have kept their numbers weaker the farmers out and co ordinated moreso on offensive operations.
DIdnt happen their numbers went up molles operation is to keep em mobile nimble in the 500-1000 member range over that unless youre FIX to a degree and MC youre going to be outted ( actually its going against a challange - queue goonfleet, d2, ascn, RA ( best thing for RA would be to merge with goonfleet and hit 4000 + membenrs)

By the sounds of it mate, Molle says: Xelas Get out of fountain now. Xelas say: YES SIR!.
I do not see a lack of action of the given order that has been made public, off course you may be aware of more private communications between Xelas and BOB that the public do not know about.

I wish people would understand the predicament we were in. Stay and fight, and lose billions in assets, much more than the value of both outposts together or leave and save our corporations. We had no dillusions that BoB would have taken us out eventually. And on top of BoB you have Axe, MC, FIX, FATAL...these are all very good PVP groups. Don't judge us for leaving the way we did, look at an older territorial map and a current one, and look at how those forces have annihilated several alliances, some with much more in resources than Xelas. We got shafted sure, but the friends in my corp are much more important than the outpost.

It's nothing personal, no one thinks you could even stall BOB for a week. People in CAOD just like to kick others when they're down. I remember members of your corp doing the very same to others. So, suck it up, and take the beating.

Personally I'm surprised Xelas was allowed to stay as long as we did. I expected something like this to happen eventually, but the green light to deploy the outpost (regardless of how late in the process this came) and the help we received signaled to me that BoB were OK with STC, at the very least. That was naive of me, I admit that much.
Now, my first idea when the announcement was made was that we should try to bargain with BoB and convince them to let us keep holding the outpost and, when Xelas was gone, join the new alliance that was moving in. Worth a shot, I thought. Our CEO however, after having been in talks with BoB for a little while, told us that there was absolutely no way we could keep our outpost and remain living in Fountain. I guess this failed.
It's a shame, but we have learned our lesson. We'll pull through, somehow.
