Just got in a little bit and was noticing the revised graphics for the module buttons.
Now it seems that an active module will be green and that a de-activated, but still running module will be red and that a "cool" module will be green (and I presume) a hotter module will go towards red.
In the interest of making it easier to figure out what's happening with your modules at a glance, I'd like to see the de-activated but still running module color be changed to be blinking green (or some other sensible alternative... purple would also be good, but that color is uggo) and the "cool" module color to be changed to blue.
Am I way off the mark on this? Are you guys able to tell very easily? -------------------------------------------------------- Working towards my own personal Dreadnought, one ISK at a time. |

I hadn't even considered that, but now that you mention it, that too.
Combinations of motion and color would be the most ideal situation for usability. -------------------------------------------------------- Working towards my own personal Dreadnought, one ISK at a time. |

Seeing as CCP changed the "requisite skills" icons to green ticks and red crosses for precisely this reason, I'd have hoped they'd take on board the need for other visual clues to help differentiate between green & red for colour blind people.

In systems with the green "clouds" (I think it was Korama), it's really hard to tell the status of your mods. The green ring blends in with the background.

Here's another vote for a color change associated with this. I'm colorblind and cannot tell when modules are are on or in the process of shutting down without hovering over the button for a few seconds.
Anything but red/green please. -- Kismeteer, carebear extraordinaire

If any CCP programmers are reading this, you could upload some screen grabs here:

To simulate and test to see what your screens look like for people with various forms of colour blindness.
For a fair portion of Eve's players, you may wish to use this site to test too:

Also, when things lag out, I can't even rely on the pop ups. I'm lucky if they arn't 100% black, so it might look like the modules are off when they're actually on. good times.
Anyway, to see an example of this, i took some shots of an afterburner. Sometimes it's on, sometimes it's off. I can't tell which is which, and I've used the colorblindness tool to show what it looks like to me. (I guess, the pictures look the same to me.)
