Using WinXp.
I have been trying to figure this out. I have read in the patch notes one thing and read from players another. I have tried all of them and I cannot stop the "migration" from occurring.
Theres also the issue with the cache and settings folders being located in "C:\Documents and Settings\****\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP".
So,
1. how do I get the migration to my documents from occurring?
2. how do I get the information that is being put in "C:\Documents and Settings\****\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP" back to being in the regular eve folder like before?
I'd appreciate an answer from CCP on this so we have a clear and concise answer about it.

Technically speaking I'm not sure that you can do either. You could fake it if you created a batch file to run EVE. Something that moves over whatever files are necessary (pictures and such) and then moves everything back when you close the EVE client. Really not the best solution and it would likely have to be tailor-made for each computer system but it would work, in a brute force sort of way.
Meh, that just gave me an idea to write a VB program to do this. Scary.
The solutions I've read read like ways to trick EVE into thinking that your user profile is in another drive/folder and seem potentially dangerous at best, but then I don't know as much in this area as I'd like else I wouldn't be asking for help in figuring out how to get Windows to use non-OS drives to store/load user profiles so that I can move mine off the C drive and put them on the same drive as EVE.

Client Changes Changes to user settings, capture and logs :
In Windows XP & Windows 2000: * User Settings : C:\Documents and Settings\%user%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE * Capture and logs: C:\Documents and Settings\%user%\My Documents\EVE
In Windows Vista : * User settings : C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE * Capture and logs: C:\Users\%user%\Documents\EVE
This can be reset to the pre-Revelations II location by adding: "/end /LUA:OFF" after the "C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\eve.exe" target in the target box in your shortcut. After this adjustment, settings and data are saved as they were saved pre-Revelations II. The shortcut should appear aS follows: "C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\eve.exe" /end /LUA:OFF
But i couldn't get it to work. Raindrop
