Edited by: Leandro Salazar on 20/06/2007 12:11:20 So far I have been running missions for non-mainstream corps because it was not such a big issue with the LP offers. But now that it seems like only the Navies offer ships, faction modules and faction ammo, I am sorely tempted to change that, because those offers seem to be clearly superior to the implant galore that I am seeing with my current corps. And I don't believe that is a good thing.
Enough people were already clogging up the Navy agents before for many reasons (coolness, RP, lazyness...), and making them even more useful over other corp agents seems counter-produtive to me. I would vastly prefer the offers being the same for all corps of a faction like before, or at least make the navy stuff available to all corps that have good L4 combat agents. (Like Theology Council or Corporate Police Force). In fact it would be ideal imho to make the offers dependant on agent division rather than corp, but I don't see how that is technically possible.
Alternatively, give us more Navy L4 agents. Especially Amarr sucks donkey balls as far as highsec L4 agents are concerned...

I have noticed some nice faction gadget offers from ishukone. Like 5 run BPC for caldary navy ballistic control units. Does navy offer that also or is it exlucive for 'non combat' corp ?
As non combat corporations offer also navy modules is there any price difference (as there is for faction ships)? I must admit I have not got time yet to go sniffing at different corps in interceptor so far as I'm busy beefing up my R&D POS defences.
Overall I must admit that I feel also tempted to move onto some 'combat' corporation. I have been so far on Hyasoda and Ishukone agents but I'm not particularly tempted by those 'non combat' hardwirings. Perhaps might install one of those 5% ME research speed hardwirings into one of my jumpclones to install long research jobs from that clone but thats about it.

I'm going to check out what Astral Mining have to offer before making a decision. At least now it's possible to quickly and profitably cash out LP and go somewhere else.
Do the non-mainstream corps not have anything unique to offer? If they do, then it will give a better ISK/lp return as there will be fewer total LP outstanding from that corp.

Yes of course they do. But those are not Navy agents. Guess I wasn't clear enough that I meant that. Fixed now. Best Navy agent in highsec is a L4 Q -7...
And Theology Council for example does offer some interesting non-combat implants, but those are really only for niche markets whose demand will be quickly satisfied. While demand for faction ammo, mods and ships as well as combat hardwirings is a lot more constant. But I guess we will see. Won't see anything ere CCP puts those implants into the market anyway

...working for Nurtura i can see all the amarr navy ship offers, as well as faction equipment and frequency crystals, so i don't think it's true.

Of course with the LP goods now being tied to supply and demand those available to the corps that are run by the majority of mission runners will soon have razor thin profit margins in comparison to the goods available only to corporations that don't see as many eggers.

I think it is divided into industrial/combat.
Example: Propel Dynamics (industrial) has: nexus chips bcs bpc co-processor bpc
Caldari Navy (combat) has: 325 mm RG bpc various missile launcher bpc's cloaking device bpc faction ship bpc's smartbomb bpc's
both have faction ships but there are some different offers like CNR for nexus chip and 600k lp or CNR for some guristas tags and LP

also, check around to other corps. At least for Caldari, you can get Faction mods/BPC's/ammo from different factions. I actually Kinda like Lai Dai Protection's store a bit more than Caldai's Navy, other than a few extra Navy ship offers.

Ahh nevermind... I had some stupid filter set that made offers that require items I don't have in my hangar not show up. Now it shows all the stuffs. Guess there is no issue here

There is actually some difference between Navy corps and non-navy. Navy corps has more offeres than non-navy. Only Navy has combat implants (but no science, industry etc) and some more BPC offers (ships). Whne it comes to modules and ships they seem to be the same.

Just noticed that some other corps fall into the "Navy corp" category. For example Republic Justice Department.

Could be worse. You could have your LP at a minmatar non-fleet corp.
Then you can feast your eyes on the wonders that are Republic Fleet Armor * Hardeners. Offering all the protection of un-named tech 1 modules with all the fitting advantages of an un-named tech 1 module, but with undoubtedly half the minerals upon refining!
Or the frigate offer for 80,000 LP.
Looks like implant extravaganza is the only way to cash out of this. Guess it's bye bye to 8+ faction standings, it's time to go work for the Caldari Navy once they fix mission standings increases. :(

I agree that many of the Minmatar faction modules sucks (and so does Gallente as well), but they also have the Republic Fleet Warp disruptor (30k range) and decent MWDs (575%).

Must admit after having a good look through the Gal and Minnie LP stores I'm really hoping CCP is going to re-balance some of those modules once the isk value of LP is established... some of them look like they may actually just be placeholders.
Don't forget folks EVE is still in Beta, theres really no need to test, balance or check things for exploits before putting them in game yet.

Whining = no good.
Please recall, that different corps also differ in standings distribution. I have high standings with Sisters of Eve which basically increases almost all racial standings imaginable, but their LP store very, very boring :)
So yeah, go get those Caldari Navy shiny goodies, but your Gallente standings will most likely drop to hell, no?
If you dont care - you dont care, but thats something CCP could consider too when making offer tables.
Moreover, I dont understand why you guys got to this topic only now. I dont think offer tables changed dramatically since Rev1, its just you see them all now. So why weren't you complaining about this a week ago?

Same as Domination ones. T1 fitting, t1 resistance, 10 Cap per activation instead of 30.
