I want to be involved in battles and to help out my corp, im interested in drones and was thinking of flying a nyx eventually. What is the most needed for corps in battles? I also was intrested in stealth bombing. Currently i am training to fly a hulk to pay for my ship ill get.

How long is a piece of string?
There are all sorts of battles, so you really do need to be more specific. You can never go wrong training up for battleships and getting the ability to fire the tech two large guns (both long and short range) that go on the BS of your choice, though.
Everybody loves tacklers though, so interceptors are quite helpful. And cruisers are good but cheap firepower for gangs of all sizes. Battlecruisers ditto, but heavier and more expensive.

sorry, I wasn't to sure on how to approach my question. Yeah i have lots to learn still but i have been reading up on guides for just about everything. I came to the conclusion of training for a dominix or a recon ship but i didn't make a choice on the recon ship. Also a carrier would take me a very long time to just train to fly it.I was never in a corp battle/ battles so i made a general question.

A Dominix would be a nice ship to train for if you want to hop into a carrier eventually. Though fighters don't benefit from your drone skills, your drones will appreciate you training Drone Interfacing up to level five as a prerequisite for Drone Control Units (sorry kids, for carriers only).
Like I said, you can't go wrong with battleships. If you wanted a carrier though, that likely means 0.0 alliance, and that means you want a Megathron with tech two large railguns. You can have it in addition to your Dominix (which would be fantastic for smaller ops), but tech two large guns are how alliances hold territory.
I'll tell you how carriers are in a few weeks, though.

No problem. As you work towards that battleship+T2 large guns goal, you'll certainly see other ships that strike your fancy (remote sensor dampeners are... VERY mean), so don't be afraid to take a little detour. When you see how long it will take to get to Large Railgun Specialization, you'll see that a detour here or there won't hurt much in the long run.
Make sure you build a good foundation of skills. Gallente ships a drones + gunnery line, so Browse those two categories to see what support skills there are and make sure you get them all.
So have fun with it, and we're here in case you have any more questions.

While training for those large guns (since you'll need all the lesser sizes in between) consider implants. Make sure all your learning skills are up to max ( rank 3's at lvl 4, rank 1's at 5.) and get implants for perception and willpower.
If you die with them in, just don't change skills as their effect carries on through death. It takes some patience to get level V in a lot of things, I hope to be training up for large projectile V soon so best of luck.

Pick a ship you like. Train everything you can for that ship to the limit. Guns, Med Slots, and Mods that go in the low slots. Try www.battleclinic.com for outfiting your ship. And www.eveinfo.com for missions. Remember "Fly what you Like" and one more point: everyone in EVE is an Expert. Bellator Militaris SPQR contact me if you have questions.

The two ships you've chosen, Nyx and stealth bomber, are two very different skill paths. In any event, flying a Nyx well will take you a LONG time to do (like, over a year), and that's not to say that you should just give up and quit Eve, just to put into perspective how long it takes people to fly motherships well. The real question is where you want to specialize: drones or missiles, big ships or small ships? The best thing to do would to just follow the standard path everyone does, but with a twist. Generally, people advance in this manner:
Frigate -> Cruiser -> Battlecruiser -> Battleship
My advice would be to get to battlecruisers and then go train skills for some t2 stuff and t2 ships. You'll want the nice t2 mods for your eventual battleship anyway, and the extra skillpoints you earn training for t2 stuff will pay off big time when it comes to flying a battleship. Decide also if you want to make a change. I, for example, got a Drake, flew it for a while, loved it, then bought a Raven, flew it for a while, hated it, and switched to Minmatar.
However, the advice that I got when I was newer to the game turned out to be pretty valuable: rather than focusing on what race's ships you want, decide on what style of combat you most enjoy. Do you like to snipe or do you like to get in close? Are you more of a gun person or a missile person? Once you determine that, find out what race's ships do that style of combat best (for example, the Caldari have all the best missile boats, Gallente have beautiful up close ships, etc.) and specialize in that style of combat for a while. You'll find that, after you've invested some time in it, you'll be very good at it, and the game will open up a bit more for you.
