I've never done lvl4's. I've done lost of lvl'3s waay back when. But these lvl4's got my buggin.
I'm an Eos pilot atm with only blasters trained up. Do you think its possible to run lvl4's with blasters successfully? Or will I get tanked by frigates and have to chase too many ranged NPC's around?

Ya know you're playing too long when you completely forgot that you can use T1 Rails.
Nvm, Ill just use t1 rails till I can train up rail spec.
Man Im dense.
Another question though, is 2 reppers mandatory for lvl4's in an Eos?

You won't get tanked by frigs but getting into range is going to be a problem for you. Keep in mind on any mission most rats pop quickly enough that target cycling times become an issue.

Its a bit of a pain in the backside, sadly. In the time you spent chasing down that BS and killing it, the other four have run 50km in all other directions. Doing those distances with an AB is painful and I reckon it works out slower.
All the while your railship could be happily popping stuff 40km away.
You might find a few blaster-friendly missions like ones that don't use deadspace, and ones where you know all the rats orbit close up, but mostly rails are ftw...
(btw I prefer Astarte for lvl4...the 250s kill everything from frigs to BS with no complaints. 5 Hammers takes care of the frigs and is a nice DPS addition against the BS.)

rails in the highs (6-7 depending on grid rigs or not)
1 webber
4 cap recharger
2 reppers
3 active hardners
it's infinate, your going to need grid rigs to fit a full set of 250's though |

2x 200IIs fit

I use a railastarte for missions, it's great. Blasters you won't have the speed/range for, unless you do some crazy passive shield tank with speed mods in the lows setup.

rail astarte > any eos setup for lvl 4s :)
takes long time for teh drones to get to teh target and you have crappy range for rails or blaster whitout falloff bonus

tbh fly an ishtar. you have the same slots and resists and can do the same shield tank and you do more damage while being able to do 1000 m/s with an ab. Speed tank + shield tank will make level 4's real easy. I use:
3 ion 2 salvager
1 gist b type large 1 dread amp 1 gist a em 1 invun II 1 domi ab
1 cpu 1 overdrive 3 dark blood cap relay
2 sentry drone rigs
that melts bs damn fast, does around 600 dps close range, 450 long range and i've had no probs with wc etc
