I could not complete this mission in time (family commitments) do I get the opportunity to do the whole mission again? I have asked about this on a couple of the help channels but did not get a response.

Your agent will offer it to you again in time but not right away.

Sure if you keep working with them. One failed mission should not upset your agent to much.

If he is now "unavailable" you can train the connections skill. That will sort it right out for you.

I have a problem...it all happened a couple of weeks ago, so I trained Social 2 and Connections 3, But I cannot remember the name of the agent in the Verge Vendor region. I may well have deleted his name from my address book. Do several agents offer this mission? I must be the only Eve player who has not done Villard's Wheel!

Agents all offer the same missions from a pool based on their race. There are no agent specific missions, like their might be quests you can only get from a certain NPC in WoW. Eventually, any agent has the chance to give you the mission. Do enough missions and you find that they give the same missions again, though not in the same order as they are picked randomly.
I would think your agent will show up in your people and places "agent" tab.

I want to do the 10 part mission because if I have to do The Blockade or Break Their Will one more time, I am going to scream very, very, very, loudly.

That 10 part mission was most likely the follow up missions after the tutorial. The only way to do them again is to start another characters. They are not ment to be run frequently, they are just ment to introduce you to a variety of different parts of the game. Saddly mission running does get repeative. If you get board of missions try some of the other aspects of the game.

Why would you want to do a 10 part newbie tutorial that will have at most 3 ships weaker then anything else in the game.
They are suppose to go against people with 7 day old skills, at level 1 or level 2 gun support ( missile, hybrid, ect ).

He did not know that this was a tutorial mission, intended to get him used to agent mission running. I went into a state of terror myself when I played for the first time and realized that I had forgotten which (random) agent my last tutorial agent had turned me to, as I thought this would lead to missing a lot of mission opportunities in the future. Now I know that this is not the case, but if you come from quest-based MMOs to EVE, this misunderstanding is extremely common and to be expected.

I am training up to run a Retriever, which will take about 10 days. I am doing missions in the meantime to gain experience. But to be honest I am getting bored silly repeating the same few missions over and over again. I appreciate that it takes a while to get to a level which opens up the game more, but I seem to be stuck with the same few missions. I have tried different agents all over the place to no avail. I wanted to do the ten part mission just to break the monotony. I have got to the point where I do not play that much any more. I will stick with the game, but boy, am I bored!

Perhaps try "encounters" with the new onboard scanner?
