Rly?!! Every weekend?? Crashes EVERY WEEKEND. Wow, that's really strange cause I've been playing every weekend for the past several months, too, prolly about 14 hours each day, and funny, I certainly can't remember any crashes, and certailny not every weekend. I suggest you check your connection.

I love reading all the posts praising CCP while the SERVER IS DOWN. Seriously you guys remind me of the Blizzard fan boys that would always defend to the death.
The server is down.
We hardly get any information about it.
It goes down QUITE often.
We pay monthly.
Need I say more? You know what would make me really happy? Just give us some information. Let us know what is going on. Don't give us the generic "we're aware of the problem and we are working on it." That would settle a lot of people down.

So play the game for a year -- at least. Plop down a subscription for all that time. And accure some real knowledge and bond with other corpmates -- then you can talk like you do above. 
Yep, your right...I know just enough to realize it's a waste of money and when my trial ends the app will get deleted. As far as those that have much invested in "virtual worlds" I'm sure it sucks. As for myself I have much invested in the real world and have but a small amount of time in the evening to play on the computer. As far as talking like I do...well, I think I've earned that right. I'm an old fart compared to most players and work hard to maintain my "real world". So I spend wisely, probably why I ended up with a large amount of property on the water :)

I love the comment from hiccups happen, largest single server game yada yada. I work for Verizon Communications FiOS supuport and issue like this happen all the time. However i see the reverse side it. If you can provide a near stable product with built in failsafes dont undertake it. For example we lose a Gateway router we kick to a 2nd, we lose an ATM relay we kick to a 2nd one, we lose multiplexer guess what.... we switch to a back up one... get the theme? I have only played Eve for 2 weeks and i have to say this is shotty from what I have seen esp working for a major ISP in advanced tech support. Good luck I will be canceling in 2 more weeks once my month is over.

good for you... you could of just kept ur hands off the keyboard and instead of wasting more time writing about how much of a waste of time this game is u could be sitting out in front of the water........ maybe there u can complain less... or maybe u will complain about how the water has too much waves on some days and how inconsistent the calm water is being and uninstall that when u relize its a waste of time just sitting there doing nothing.

In the wrong hands all technologies are shamefully inept and in the right hands all technologies can do wonderous things. Eve is a testament to a very serious engineering effort, shows extreem dedication to (of all things) a game and represents a remarkable accomplishment by any standard. I completely believe in the abilities of CCP to adequately handle this "crisis" and I applaud the efforts of all members of their team for putting forth such effort on our behalf...
