I recently rediscovered the joy that is Freespace 2. It has been opensourced and given a major graphical overhaul. It's distilled awesomeness poured into a tall glass of win.

well, it only has one map so far, but basically its a lot like battlefield except its objective based (disable this, blow this up, etc).. you gain XP for completing objectives which give you certain bonus's (all ur xp clears when a new series of games starts, so like 3-4 games).. seems pretty well optimized, runs and looks good even on my comp (x850xt, x2 4400).. only thing bad about it i would say atm is the driving system needs a bit of work since its kinda laggy, but its a beta so who knows
