Poor solwolf. I'd rep'd AFDT for 6 months at the council, and the one weekend I decide to take off and ask him to cover, we go and have a coup
Lies, all lies.
Oh, and Kinsy. How would you know anything about ATUK? You werenĘt even around, but you sure taken on ******ness of you corp mates, thatĘs for sure. I'll take your AtesticleUK remark as a complement, since ATUK had 100x more balls then the Celestial ***pocs could ever dream of. Btw, howĘs empire? Killed any of our allies lately? Oh, thatĘs right. I forgot. Since the start of the war, CELES is on break from EVE. How brave. ItĘs been going on now for what? 6 months? When you are ready to come back, DICE/ATUK lives in Delve.

I miss the FA and almost everything that went along with it, I don't like the people trying to pollute the history of the alliance take your moaning elsewhere. The true hardcore FA corps left at different points along the wrong, Evol were a founding member but left halfway along the road, the last true corp left was BIG. Many corps came and went some stayed longer than others, everyone will have different opinions but there are no majority of ex-FA members in any one alliance. In fact if you look at any one of the top alliances now, I bet you they have an old FA corp or a bunch of old FA members in their ranks.
In my opinion the only remnant of the FA is BIG as they are still trying to reattain what the FA once was.

Anyone that was in FA has alot of memories and to be honest most are good. It was an exciting time in the game and Fountain Alliance at its peak was the alliance to be in. At over 2600 members, they were able to be both diplomatic, industrial, and PvP. The ideals were good but the politics and internal disagreements finally tore it apart.
Made many good freinds there, and even made some good enemies. Some of those enemies are good friends now like Pugwash who shot at me from the time I joined FA and later became my friend in VC. Some of the old freinds are enemies now, both in BOB and Rise. Such is the way of Eve.
But I think all that were in FA can agree, those were the days and they were a part of the game we all miss. It was a great alliance, and a great time to play Eve. I do miss it sometimes. But I dont miss the meetings!

Edited by: Raem Civrie on 27/06/2007 09:52:58 Oh wow. FA. I remember hunting in the core sometime around late 2003 or so. This was trTs early, Fountain had barely been pacified and the pirates still roamed EVE.
Then a year or two later I made 400m+ trading t2 modules in Fountain and bringing back Large 'accomodation' armor reps. Good times.
Getting scrambled by an FA patrol that didn't speak english with 200m isk in a kestrel cargo hold is one of the most vivid memories I have in EVE. ----

Oh god I used to love those. At its peak Fountain could amass a force of 400 very quickly. My 2nd day in Fountain I was ratting in a belt when I saw the strange blue writing in local and screaming on TS that huge ships from we think was the Angel Cartel were blowing up everyone at the stations in MN5. I had corpmates with there first brand new shiney battlships being blown out of the sky in one shot. Within 15 mins a gang of 400 was assembled and the Angels got out quick.
Fleet inspections where fun and a very good tool to see who was actually ready to fight. Plagues was one of the best. I still miss alot of the good things and fun things like that we had in FA. Fluf CEO Shiva Morsus Mihi

O god that day ... that day SUCKED.
The event actors were spawning themselves next to people in belts and killing them without warning.
I was in charge of the fleet and since all of the event actors were in Tyrants with 3 MWDs fitted it was impossible to do anything to them. People were being ineffective and not listening to the orders to group up so the event actors wouldn't spawn themselves next to them and kill them. I think at one point I even ordered the gang to shoot Zakon for being 60km off the fleet :P.
This one event actor inparticular named Pen USP or something was going 20km/s through our fleet in a BS. That was definitely the lamest event EVER and all it was was some RP bull**** introducing complexes into the game. We did not kill a single one of the event actor ships; they only left because I convoed Nebulai partway through the event and yelled at him for using 3 MWD BSs with GMcommands and killing people who had not consented to participate.

Those of us on the km are
I always liked fleet inspections, especially being an SC. I got to just spam channels telling people to gang up while i sat in a belt and let the FCs organize everything.
The best gangs we had were just after M0o pulled out and we were mopping up FE. Tacs 1-7, 10-30 man gangs sitting on every gate and station in yz plus my tac2 gang patrolling in ceptors
Killed a number of haulers that week.

Originally by: Orree Some of the "hardcore" (since that's the term that was used) joined Morsus Mihi. Some joined TCF. Some stayed behind and fought a mild guerilla war inside Fountain. Others left FA, formed new entities (corps like Shiva and Reformation, and and alliance - Vertigo Coalition) and did the same. Pretty much all no longer live in the Fountain region anymore.
Some still fight on the same basic side as before. Some do not.
It's all very complicated...just like FA used to be...heheh.
Shiva (which was called Cold Fusion, Elite Academy and a few others) during FA days stayed in Fountain until the summer of 2006. We left to join other former FA corps in Tribute as members of Morsus Mihi. Shortly after that, what was left of FA merged with NORAD to form RISE. RISE had lots of comings and goings and are now living as BoB tenants in Feythabolis, I believe.
Discussions of who was "hardcore" and who wasn't simply aren't necessary. No one had it easy.
From what I can tell of my time in VC and MM, there is a lot of fight, and a lot of remenence of FA left there. What I also experience were a lot of the same problems that divided FA. It's sick to know how much potential there is up in the north, and how little of it is realized on a daily basis. I think a lot can be said of FA in the same manner during it's run.
As all dead alliances see, a group held together, sharing similar beliefs, the rest divided and were absorbed by new empires. All that remains is a memory of what once was.

They were released a few weeks before C4 invaded fountain. I know because me Ender and fer0 were 3 of the first pilots in the alliance with them and I bought one of the first crows NAGA ever sold.

I have lots of good and bad memories of Fountain. I was Shattered Star Confederation then, we started with the ticker SHATT, and then .SSC. when we finally got it changed..
Did the diplomacy thing and although I probably shouldn't admit it, I was one of the FA diplomats during the CFS conflict. Not the only one for sure, and far be it for me to say but at least one of the others is in BoB now.
Definitely remember fleet inspects, courtesy of plagues, I remember RUBRA and having a go with Puggy and his mates with my mates Coug (now BDCI) and a few AFDT people like Angelhunter (also BDCI), in our ceptors when they were brand new. Also remember being in VC with Puggy a year later ;) and then most recently him trying to kill me in Fountain with his Arazu gang ;) heh. Funny how the pendulum swings. Tick Tock?
SSC has since closed (After 10 years of gaming across multiple games) and we've opened Righteous Indignation, but several core members of the SSC, who were heavily involved as directors, CEOs, Fleet Commanders, Assistant Fleet Commanders, and Diplomats are still here.
I remember being on the FA High Council during the "rev0lution". Not much mention of them yet ;) all those 'miscreants' coming through the gate, Aerick Dawn and his smack talk ;) no harm intended. T-Bone too heh..
I don't have much time to play now a days, my training prevents that.. but definately had the most fun and least fun in Fountain.
