I am going to train for a command ship, but i dont know wich one (minmatar)
It is for use in a small gang (3-5)

is the command modules any good? is the tank good enough on the ships?

I fly Caldari, so I can't comment specifically on Minmatar ships.
Command ships are definitely worth it. With only a handful of T2 modules, and no rigs; I've easily survived a full-aggro in a Level 4 mission (REV1), and being called primary in fleet battles.
Gang mods are useful, but only as useful as your gang. A squad of 5 pilots, 1 Command ship, 1 Recon Cruiser, and 2-3 T1 Battlecruisers/HACS is likely to trouble most other gangs.

I guess you are saying that the fleet one is better as long as my gang is good.
thanks!

If you were to go minmatar, I'd say sleipnir. The claymore is only for dedicated gang bonus giving..ness. Sleipnir with the rapid deployment mod and fast moving ships would be awesome for roaming gangs.

Field.
The fleet do not have enough DPS to make them a real danger and at that size gangboni are IMO not a big enough collective boost to make it important to primary it. Meaning you'll prolly be the last target to attack, which means that it's better tank compared to the field is pretty useless.

Sleipnir with rapid deloyment link is awesome for fast moving gangs. Good damage, awesome speed for a CS and a tough tank.
At maxed skills however including the mindlink imp the claymore gets even better for small gangs. (dont underestimate the 15% extra from ship bonus) Sure you will do less dmg yourself but with all 3 gang links running your mates will be faster, harder to hit and have longer ranges to webbers and scramblers (rapier and huggin pilots will love you).

Like everything in EVE, it's a highly context-sensitive selection. The Sleipnir can hold its own in combat, contributing directly to your gang's firepower. It's often used as a really big Vagabond. It also solos quite effectively.
The Claymore will certainly confer greater bonuses, and it has a monstrous shield tank. But as a combat ship it is not quite as effective as the Sleipnir. I think it helps to familiarize yourself with the abilities of each ship, and even get some experience using them on Sisi, and then decide which one does (or is capable of doing) the things you want in a given situation.
