If you can connect to the web via WiFi then I shouldn't see why not.
Originally by: Hanns Also the Change back key feature dosent recognise the blackberrys actuall back key?
The "Back" key is device specific. I have it hardcoded into the code for my phone and if I knew the key code for the BB (and how to 100% identify a BB) then I would add the appropriate code too.
As it stands, others have suggested setting the back key in EMSP's options to "Delete" (if my memory serves me right, or was the "Escape" key ?). -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

How/where does this program keeps it's settings? Is there any way we could edit the settings (id,key) out of the program? Sometime editing the key manual is kind of pain the the ass if you have more than 1-2 accounts and some devices doesn't support copy/paste.

The data is stored using J2ME's RecordStore API, the how and where part depend on the implementation. I don't personally know of a program that can edit them.

I was thinking of making some kind of import/export for account settings (as can be seen in the account menu) but I haven't found the time to do it yet. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

Just to make some "statistics". Version 3.4.4 works fine with Motorola A1200.
BTW, I used a custom png. Jaabaa, if you want to incorporate in future versions I'll be glad to help. I just don't know if it works on all phones but to A1200 works fine.

And of course. Jaabaa, thanks for this amazing app. I really enjoyed it.

Nokia N95 8gb using .jar
i must first say that this is a sw33t app, and mutch creds to the author and all that have contributed.
firstly a "bug" report: Unexpected result java.ioExeption 5105
this pops up when i update my skills, but cant say its bad, i have not figured out what this error is for, because everything is working nicly.
second a overall review of the program: allittle slow at some menues, like character->char,skills. but im guessing the phone itself is at fault.
The wakeup function, im living at +1 gtc and not sure if its supposed to do it, but it arranges "meetings" an huor before the skill finished, (add to planner) same with wakeup.
Then a suggestion, since i love til "countdown" to skillk completion, im hoping you can implement it at the "Training" menu, so i can choose if i want a date and time, or a countdown, that would be awsome.
the trained skillstree is working fine in my eyes, and looks great. (even took my skill at lvl 0)
then the navigation: feels just right (for the ones that didnt know; use center navigator to go back and, senter buttom to "click"
last words: when using the "widescreen" like when you see movies with the phone, the meny is off center.
Final words (i swear!!)
sweet programming and layout, keep it coming and we shall hail you indefenetly. (ps, my written english is allitle off, dont care)

From what I can see it's a SymbianOS TCP/IP V6 error code "No route to host". Are you updating your account(s) or the individual characters ?
Originally by: harm2b second a overall review of the program: allittle slow at some menues, like character->char,skills. but im guessing the phone itself is at fault.
EMSP loads up all the information it can so that the rest of the menu actions are faster.

Main menu -> Options -> Make sure that "Fix Timezone" is active.

first off. Great App. Just what I wanted and it works well. Only thing I'd like to see is the wifi being worked on. Unfortunately I can't tell you how to do this as I'm unsure.
I have a nokia n95 8gb. And I have it set up so that my web asks me which AP (including 3g data if i want) i'd like to connect to. And I usually use wifi (since i'm on a 2mb data plan).
Originally by: Jaabaa

I think it's something in the app that asks about it. The app asks me if it's allowed to connect to the internet then directly goes to 3g without enquiring at all. It's a small amount of data but i'm also on a small plan. If you're interested in trying to make this work I can probably help find out how.

How your phone connects to the internet has got nothing to do with EMSP.
I don't have a Nokia, I have a SE 990i, and I can sort the connection order of how I would like to access the web. I have a local WLAN as the first option, then it uses 3G if the WLAN is not available.
I would assume that the N95 has similar setup options. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

The only thing I can think off is that your provider has some kind of transparent proxy that thinks that EMSP is a browser and is asking if it should optimize the content. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

i have timezone +1 here but evemsp always saves finished skills in "eve-time". i already tried the option "fix timezone" in the java-app, without success.
currently i have a skill running 15:15 hours - started from 18:15 o'clock - finish time is 8:30. i tried this with "fix timezone" on and off.
correct finish time has to be 9:30. any idea?

The "203: Authentication Failure" comes from the API server and it means that your API key is incorrect. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

Well ive just managed to get this to work on my HTC diamond, and AFAIK, it didnt connect to 3g/edge/gprs to download the dat as i have my wifi connected. Had a small problem getting it set up, as the screen went all white, but a hard reset fixed that. Now all im having problems with is the size of the text on screen, and the pictures, its tiny! any help?

If you receive the java.io.IOException error, there is a way to bypass it (the error means you need to specify an access point). You might still get the error, but your character will load.

Never seen anything like this before but this might help you any maybe other users of your device can provide more qualified information.
EMSP uses the system default for font sizes. If you are using a 3rd party tool to J2ME enable your device then I would look for some default font options in that toolkit/utility. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

Just to help a few people......
On a Blackberry,... Sometime (most times) you can roll left to go back to the previous screen... Roll Up or down to change from time/dates in the skill screen...
Hope this helps.

Android users!
I haven't had a chance to read the entire thread, but I got this working on my Tmobile G1 on Android. Just hit the Android market and search for Java, that'll net you the J2ME runtime.
Then after you install that you can point the browser at the OTA link, spend 10 minutes agonizingly typing in your API key (make sure you're using all caps for the letters!) and viola.
Thanks for the great app, Jaaba!
