Jaabaa this rocks , only thing that would be cool is having the function to display it on the "today" screen for PDA's just what skill is training , account balance and how long to completion....!! other than that it is working just fine on my HTC Touch.....

SUCCESS! Sorta! :) I updated the firmware on my Blackberry 8700g to the latest (4.2.1.107) and it downloaded, ran, and installed. (Previously having the "COD Invalid" error)
When I run the app, go to create an account, enter my user ID and limited key, then select "Load / Update" my network traffic icons flash like data's moving around, and then nothing. Going back to the main menu shows "Characters" still greyed out and unselectable. The "+++Create and load your EVE account details." red banner on the bottom continues to scroll. No other error messages.
I've tried entering the limited key twice now (blowing it up in Word to read it; very helpful) to no avail. Any ideas?
Jaabaa -- I LOVE the potential on this app and really hope you can continue supporting it. With the source out there hopefully you can get some additional developer support as well. Java's not my native language, but if I have some time next summer I can give it a whirl. Good luck!

When I try to load my characters I get the message: "Error during transfer" "Wrong version: 2"
In the api log I can see that evemsp was connected: "17/12/2007 17:22:4877.62.4.19/account/Characters.xml.aspx2655110OK"
All my other java apps work fine (with internet) I'm using a SE W880i with umts
I have copy/pasted both limited and full keys (via email). Anyone else had this problem?
I've seen others post here with an W880i so it should work with my model.

I'm trying to get this working on a Palm T|X with the IBM JRE.
Downloaded the JAR using the T|X's wireless connection. Got the midlet (v.2.0.81) installed it seemed, but when I tried to add a character, I got the "Wrong Version: 2" error. After that, when I tried to manage characters, the whole device would freeze, requiring a reset. When I try to check "Options," the whole device would freeze, requiring a reset.

The API has changed and I built it so that version changes in the data wouldn't break the program, and the latest API version reports that it is now "version=2".
I'll try and get an update out with the latest Trinity skills included this weekend, but with Christmas just around the corner it might even be after the Christmas break before I can get an update out.
So, sorry for for the delay, but I just haven't had the time to bring the application into line with the Trinity patch(es). -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V2 http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

Great to hear you're still keeping evemsp alive!. I hope the change in API isn't to difficult to implement. Anyway, happy holidays ;-)

Great Software Jaabaa!
I managed to install it on my Windows Mobile 6 Smartphone using IBMs MIDP 2.0 Java emulator, for all those guys that are plagued by the absence of a Java Runtime Engine on their Windows Mobile Device.
Seems to work like a charm. Now keeping my figures crossed for a new version of EVEMSP that works with the Version 2 API.
Cheers,

Just looked for the Nokia N80 on google, and it looks like the older firmware versions have issues with memory management. I would try updating your firmware to the latest version. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V2 http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

figured i'd try converting the new jar into a .cod and just seeing if it worked anyway.
it threw out this error: C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.3.0\bin\evemsp.jar(a.class): Error!: Duplicate definition for 'a' found in: a

Damn, you weren't supposed to see those buttons until the functions were completed
"Training times" will provide a list of all the skill you have and the time required to the next level, making it easier for you to pick a skill that matches your RL timetable.
"Untrained" will be just that, a list of the skills your character doesn't have. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V2 http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

among all the questions and comments, I'd just like to add a super congratz to the programmer(s) of this tool. It's fully working on a Nokia 6103, of which my provider even claimed it not to be able to do GPRS :p
In other news, anyone know a good (free) Java Runtime program for Windows Mobile 5? Much appreciated, thanks

Yeah i find it runs fine on Symbian S60 V3 (Nokia E61) and V1 (Nokia 6600) also ive had no problems apart from the ones listed below on windows mobile 2003SE (O2 XDA2i), only things i cant get to work correctly is the "Add entry to calendar" it worked once but 99% of the time it sends me to a skill list, and the "get character images" asks me if i want to allow the connectivity but nothing happens.
Awesome program tho, keep up the great work

Tested on a Nokia N95 and it seems to work fine. Entries are correctly added to calendar with reminder. The only problem that i met is when i choose "Get character image" in the menu, it shows me the skills list of the char.
Thx for this great program
