From what I could find on the web, your phone supports "JavaÖ MIDP2.0, CLDC 1.1, 3D API, PIM API, File Access API", so you shouldn't have a problem.
To do an OTA installation open http://www.alexalas.co.uk/EMSP/emsp.jad in your phone's browser and install from there. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V2 http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

Jaabaa, Please don't give up on the BB!!! For everyone having the "Invalid COD" and "offset" errors -- I had "Invalid COD" for OTA, and the "offset" error when I jammed the files on via the desktop -- both issues went away when I updated the firmware on my Blackberry 8700g to the latest (4.2.1.107) ... please give that a shot and try it again.

I just wanted to congratulate Jaabaa on a fine working Windows Mobile 6 app. It installed flawlessly on my HTC. Regarding the copying and the pasting of the api key: 1/ Copy and paste the api key from the website in a *.txt file 2/ Transfer the *.txt file on your windows mobile 3/ Open it with the explorer 4/ Copy the key in the clipboard using the menu (copy function) 5/ Switch to the emsp java program 6/ There where you have to paste the key, there is no menu with a paste function but don't worry, take your keyboard and click on the CTRL key and the V and here is your key :)

Can you please help me, i Think my phone is CLDC, it appears my phone refuses to recognize it as a java app? I put it onto the minicard then select filemanager from my tools list and select eveswa.jar but all it does is treat it like a picture, realize its not a picture, then go back to the file directory i have it in. Any help?
I don't think that you can install from a memory card, as you said, it's treating as a file and not as an application. You should try the OTA install. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V2 http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

Hello, I have a HTC Touch and was wondering how you got it to work. I've downloaded the .jad but Windows Mobile 6 dosn't know what to do with it. Do i need to download any type of java for the phone? If so how do i do that.
BTW, thanks Jaabaa for creating this program. "There is something I think we should always keep in mind: everything we talk about is limited by our own perceptions, our own ability to undersand, in short by our very nature." -Nakor |

I got this working on my Nokia N95 8GB, a very smart program
have both accounts up and running in EMSP and Mobile manager, for info I use wifi to connect
I can't get the character images to load as it takes me into the skill screen and though I unchecked the alarm in settings, it was checked in my calander (would have woken me up at 4am, wife would not be pleased ... :)
As only just installed it haven't seen anything else yet, what would be nice it 'not' to see the second and third alts per character as never use them

Have been playing with the program, Have found a bug (sorry)
When checking my balance I get a API Error ( not every time, so I am not sure what I do for the moment to generate this error)
201: Character does not belong to account
Goes back to the Char Wallet page and only the back button is available which gives me the error again and this is in a loop
To quit I have to reboot the phone

Bring on the flames.
So I'm new to pocket PCs, just got mine yesterday. I work in IT, so I should get the hang of it fairly quickly...
Howerver, I've tried installing/running your app on my HTC PPC6800 and something is not going.
I know you said, "Your device needs to support MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.1 for it to work." but I'm not sure where to check for those.
What I can tell you is that it runs Esmertec Java - Is that good enough ?
Thanks for any help I can get.

It seems to run under Esmertec Java on my WM5 device. Insists on using the SIM card to connect though even when Im at home and WiFi is available. IE uses WiFi fine but EMSP won't.

Working great on my Sony Ericsson w810i.
Here's a suggestion though.. In Options, make a setting to disable character picture. I've still got a big, fat ! in mine (after 4 months), and the space is better used to display text on the small screen on my phone.

DL and did OTA for newest version, works fine. Samsung A707 UMTS phone.
One question on the time shown for ending training. It is showing as EVE server time. Is there a way to have the app use the time on the phone so the calendar of the phone will have the correct time for the skill to end?
I currently have to subtract 5 hours to see what the correct time will be.
Thanks for a great app.

Ok first off, above poster as same phone as me: A707 (a.k.a. Cingular SYNC).
App loads fine on OTA link (3.1.0). I've entered (no paste in J2ME on this phone) and triple checked my user ID, limited and full API keys and go to Load. Phone asks to connect, 3G then 3G+ appears at the top of my phone like it's trasferring data, then returns to 3G (seems like an idle but connected to internet state based on my experiences surfing the net with the phone). Nothing else happens. No errors. When I go back to look at my characters, it's greyed out.
Originally by: Jaabaa
V3 is kind of beta code, it doesn't pop up an error window yet if you get the userid/code wrong like V2 does.
So try putting your API code into a file and transferring it to your phone and using copy/paste to transfer the information.
When errors are implemented it would really REALLY help to tell me what might be wrong.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi, thanks for the comments.
I've just uploaded 3.1.2 which contains a fix (hopefully) for the time zone problem when adding a skill completion event to the calendar.
There is now an additional option "Fix Timezone" which should, if it does what its supposed to, correctly add the event to the calendar.
You can get the latest version here:

Hey Jaabaa nice speaking with you.
I Downloaded 3.1.2 and activated fix timezone in options section.
It is still showing in the banner and the calendar as completing 5 hours ahead of EST which would be GMT for me. I tried it activated or not activated. I also rebooted app and the phone with no change.
Thanks

Do you have your home time zone set correctly on your phone ?
I switched the time zone on my phone to New York, and when I added an entry it changed the completion time to match.
So I see that it works for me, I guess I'll have to add an additional information page to the application to display things like current time zone. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

Cingular SYNC (Samsung A707) Still doesn't work. I verified that my phone was set to the correct time zone GMT -8 and I tried changing the clock mode to manual to see if it would help. Each time I was retrying to add an event and it always adds the calander event 8 hours late.

Maybe the phone has a buggy timezone implementation, I say that because Mastari Doofoff has exactly the same phone with the same problem.
I'll try and find the time tomorrow to add the timezone information to the about page so you can see exactly what is being passed to EMSP.
I might have to add a manual time offset option though if the phones really are broken. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

No biggie on the download. :)
Samsung Sync A707
I deleted the version from my phone, set time update to auto and it displays GMT-5, which is EST.
I checked a Weather Channel java app I have and it is showing local time correctly.
DL newest version of emsp. Set time zone and back key, entered acct. and character info and limited api key. (we dont have to use full do we)?
Still showing on banner and calendar as GMT/EVE server time.
Thanks

1: Is there a way to do OTA install on a Sony Ericsson w810i? (I can only find a WAP-browser on it, and it keeps coughing up errors if I point it at the OTA-URI.)
2: How the heck am I supposed to input character-info under ACCOUNTS? A big blank display waiting for input isn't very intuitive... ------------------------------------- Bill Gates: What's that?!? Steve Jobs: It's an iHouse! Bill Gates: But there's no windows... Steve Jobs: EXACTLY! HAHAHAHA! |

Ah, if the banner isn't even showing local time then I think that something has to be wrong with the timezone information that the phone is passing to EMSP.
The banner has always displayed the correct time for the phone's locale, but some calendars don't have the PIM API implemented correctly for timezone stuff.
It looks like I'll have to add an optional timezone offset entry to fix this. -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |
