Signed! Deimos has serious cap issues, Zealot is mostly resisted, Vaga is a solopwnmobile. |

as far as solo ships go at all, vaga is among the best in the game, and all the other ones it competes with are in different ship classes, so I would definetly say its the best solo hac

Vagabond, no question. It's the only HAC with the ability to disengage at will when things go badly (and they always will), and the only HAC that can't be duplicated by a tech-1 battlecruiser for a fraction of the cost.
Of course really, it's a question of Vagabond vs. Zealot, the Deimos just sucks. It's too slow and heavy for a blaster ship (even worse than the Thorax), has too little grid for a tank, doesn't have enough mids for a critical cap injector, and generally costs 50x the price of a Thorax for 25% more damage.

Deimos is jus a better thorax.
Ishtar can make a pretty nice speed setup. Those heacvy drones hurt pretty much too.
I pew therefore I am.

The best solo ships are those that have the speed and agility to evade blobs and traps and can also kill larger ships while staying out of web range and even nos range.
For this i say the vaga is king. Zealot can do it as well but not to the degree that the vaga can.

Add 2 pg rigs and u can fit all ionst2+med nos, mwd, scram, web, med t2 rep, 800mm plate and 2 dmg mods+dcu and explosive hardnener t2. add some ecm drones and its not that bad ship. Even a astarte could do the same job just bether. its a totaly ok ganp-npcers-ship(and very good for semi decent mobile t2 cruiser gangs with some EW..even I prefer the ishtar.

Would one of you gentleman comment on the Vigilent - since, unlike the deimos, it should not have a cap problem due to teh very bizarre bonus that actually ADDS cap to the ship if you have a MWD fitted (at least last time I looked, unless I am terrifically mistaken). yes, I know about HAC resists and all, but just curious and asking as a fun/interesting question to those who have experienced a Vigilent.

vigilant has more cap than deimos, but the lower resists make you die just as fast if not faster.
deimos/vigilant are DPS ships for gang use only, i would never recommend soloing in one.

I've been training up for a Vagabond for months. I keep coming to the same conclusion that it's just a superb ship once you have the skills for it.
In my case, it's not only for likely PvP, but also just for it's shear survivability. For example, you can run blockades in it (useful for all sorts of situations) or probably use it as a big interceptor.
I appreciate it can't do everything though. For example, in a fleet battle it would probably take a very peripheral role. However, the next ship up with more skill points is a Sleipnir - very useful in this situation.

1. Ishtar 2. Vaga
They are in a league of their own
3. Diemos 4. Zealot 5. Sac 6. Cerb
Great gang ships, but very easy to counter in a 1v1
7. Eagle (Blaster Eagle is pretty nice) 8. Muninn
Good Snipers...
Note Vigilant > Diemos > Thorax imo I put 3 PG rigs one on my vigilants, I can fit 2 Nuet IIs and 3 Ion IIs with a 800 plate and the normal setup. With a bay of ECM drones he is a deadly soloship. Able to engage several ships at once.

What this guy said right here IMO he has got what there "roles" are
Vaga nuff said
Diemos/Zealot both for gang use Diemos in smallish gangs (6/7/8 people where DPS still counts) and Zealot (for gangs 10+ where you wont have enough time to get in range before they go pop ) but other than that as far as i can see there simaler
so i have a shared second

And i always thought that pilgrims (except for corpum nosf ones) are rather easy targets for speed setup ships...

VAGABOND ftw.
-Fast enough to tackle a ship 24+Km away before it can warp off. -Has the damage to break ships way bigger, tracking (180s) to hit the few inties that can catch you -Range to stay away from most NOS and webs. -Fast enough to run away
Solo pwnage theory is one of hit and run for hit and run you need -Speed -Firepower -More speed = VAGABOND
amazing ships. and the way the market is you can fully fit with tech2 for roughly 160m.

Noone forces you to fit blasers on your deimos. It can do very good dps with a set of rails too......
