Lollerskatez. I'm completely not surprised though- trying to publish a DX9 game as unable to run on a DX9 compatible system is frikkin ridiculous. --------

I'm not a user of pirated games, but still I see this as good news. Microsoft are using every means possible to try and push computer users into buying Vista (sales of Vista have been slower than predicted).
The icing on the cake will be DX10 on XP.

Edited by: zurich93 on 26/06/2007 16:33:51 So i know about modding games ect but is this legal? It is just changing some of the installation files right? just wondering if microsoft are going to go off on one of their big campaigns to try and stamp it out by not allowing xp computers to access online features for it ect (untill people find a way around )

Stupid bunch of ****s, releasing games for Vista only, when about 10% max of gamers have probably gone over to Vista.
I'm normally willing to defend MS against nay sayers, but there are times when their money grabbing profiteering just astonishes me.
This includes the 5 or so different versions of Vista just to make sure they squeeze your ******* as hard as possible.

Hell I'm still on 2k. I think my forced upgrade is coming shortly though as I cant go to Media Player 10 which is "required" for Netflix online movie viewing. While this in and of itself isnt a legitimate reason (For me) to move, it does press home the point my OS is "obsolete" and its coming time to move on.
