I wanna see CCP adding more regions. They don't have to be uber-good, just add them and someone will populate them. (...Hopefully empire corps will move out there, so empire dosnt have to be so overpopulated...)
And yes, i know there are plenty of 0.0 systems that are almost empty. I still want a bigger EVE universe. EVE just feels very... crowded these days...?
More regions, more EVE, More SPACE, less ppl in empire. (more room for new players?)
... would more regions effect lagg in a positive or negative manner...? Anyone know...?

Sorry that was a bit of a troll, yuh just gonna say what you've already said plenty of 0.0 already empty when its in use then it might be worth it. but currently we have somewhat of 70% of the population in 30% of the space Sig removed as it lacks EVE-related content. more space for bob to control. Yes lots of empty space out there but gate camps and the lack of NPC cloning facilities deeper out is a big issue. Actually the lack of 12 hour jump clones ( 24 hours isnt enough) and gate camps plus a general fear of 0.0 to many PVPers and not enough indepandant industrial outfits is taking its toll.

actually this might help ( nerf the PVPers a bit but they should be seeking targets)
remove the amount of NPCs killed in the last hour stats ( give a 12 hour and 24 hour) summary.
Average pilots in local for the last 30 minutes ( make it 3 hours)
same goes for pod and ship kills ( player in last hour make it 6 hours) actually this will make it harder for carebears moving around as well.
Provide jump clones that can be activated once every 12 hours ( or advanced skills to bring it donw from 24 hours) - cloning facilities in all 0.0 and low sec stations
Removing local ( well lets keep that one out of it) but the insta stats thing needs to be pushed to 6-12 and 24 hours ( making scouting and moving around easier) making it easier to transfer out there from empie to 0.0 without having to run gate camp easier and more often
supplies would still need to be moved of course
more cloning facilities

A compromise perhaps? An expansion of Empire space - RP translation "In an attempt to stave off invasion, the corp Empire expanded their influence to outlying lower security areas to increase economic growth and to support a booming population". Then add some extra 0.0 regions to accomodate an expandion of Empire space.

Rarely do forces have the ability to go expanding territory if under the direct threat of invasion Sig removed as it lacks EVE-related content. Mail [email protected] if you have questions. -Hango

more .5 systems for calderi and gallente yes. Amarr is big enough already, there is still jove space perhaps speeding that access up.
More low sec for sure
and more 0.0. Perhaps split some of the main pirate factions into sub factions.
As more outposts are deployed in 0.0 i think u will see more industrial alliances esp with sov changes now its harder to control a lot of space without industrial assets to help control.
Add cloning facilities to all 0.0 NPC stations - lowering JC timing from 24 to 12 hours ( or having advanced skills that do this)

Edited by: Odd Bob on 28/06/2007 11:59:17 Tbh i think its impossible keeping local out this sort of topic, in 0.0 keeping a low profile is whats it all about but due to local your entry in a low sec area is announced on trumpets and they can see everything about your charactor, corp, faction, toon age, etc at the flick of a finger.
I simply cant understand why local isnt removed or even better plays not wanting to being show on it have an option to remove themselves from this, its quite contary to the nature of the game imo, tracking people should be all about scanning etc instead of this easy mode and unrealistic function.
If people could keep a lower profile in low sec which they could if local was removed im sure more would use these sectors more frequently.

I'd love to see them add about 10 new Drone regions all around the outside of the map. Sort of like the "wilderness" at the edge of the human inhabited space (since all except the current droe regions are positively swarming with pirate factions).
Thats IF they ever manage to fix the Drone regions as they are... --------

If they "secure" some of the lower sec sapce then they would also attempt to name a secure 0.0 Space so if thsi was to happen they would need to make more low sec more high sec and more 0.0 then we come across problems like pirates being in these low sec systems then get turned into high sec and such.

Yes, thats why I suggested the extra 0.0 regions to compensate, sorry I didnt expain that idea, but the systems of low sec get an increased security to 0.5 and formerly 0.0 systems become low sec. For this loss of low sec, new drone stargates are found liking to aditional regions.

This is probably just going to result in a fight but here goes.
How about removing all 0.0 for the starmap, unless you, your corp (wont apply for noob corps/npc corps) or alliance have been there. Then the universe will be nice and big, you'll have new areas to visit etc.
Also adds another profitable route for explorers, if there is a way to sell data on regions etc. -------------------------------------

We just opened up more regions not too long ago, and there's something like 5000 systems in EVE.

True - but you cant deny that there is a significant population problem regardless, I direct you to the system of Jita, its lag and the number of people there (700 ) on average. Also, much of those systems seem o be there to pack out Eves systems from each other. With a few nice systems peppering the wastelands population would be spread out more

The statement that "Jita is overcrowded, ergo EVE is overcrowded" is just silly. There are tons of unused empire space out there, it's just Jita and the surrounding area that is overcrowded. So... get out of there! Yes, that means YOU.

When the new regions, the drone regions, were opened I was one of the first people that had a pos there. It was one of the best my corp mates and me had, though it was not easy for us because we are such a small corp.
But when the large corps and alliances moved in we were squeezed out and they wouldn't set us to blue because we are that small and the relationship slots are limited. So we had to leave because there was no way that we could survived against them. And joining an alliance we didn't want.
So much for the history. What I would like to see is more FREE space. It is said Eve has 5000 systems? Yes, but how many systems are free and unclaimed? Where could you settle down with a small corp?
More space! Yes, yes please. And not just space but space far enough away from the npc regions so that this space really needs to be developed and that you cannot just hop back into npc station with a few jumps! And it doesn't need to be rich space. Just space so that the small corps have a chance there also and won't get bulldozed by the big corps with their many capitals.

QFT, and also the poster above me.
With the introduction of WTZ and the huge amount of cap ships and supercaps, space has become very much smaller. There is no such thing as deep, dark frontier space.
As it is now, there are simply too many large alliances compared to 0.0 controllable space. While this is not a bad thing and makes the best being able to hold onto it and alliances fight over it(in huge blobs of lagfest and desync), there is no room for the minor corps of say, 50-60 people.
Drone region is a nice example of how the not-so-large alliances could retain a bit of space(although these alliances seems quite large anyway these days, and smaller ones like Trekroner was pew-pew'd). Added 2-3 more regions such as this would not only make space larger, it would also give smaller entities opportunities.
