run missions, by the time you hit level three (it takes quite a while) you should have earned enough money to buy a ship capable of running them.
Mining works too, its important that you skill up so you can do it efficiently though (the same goes for missions running, both combat and social skill-wise)

I shake my head at you...
on to the op! have you joined a corp yet? I can't even do lvl 3 missions yet a year into the game. I run with my friends doing lvl 4 missions and make 5 mil an hour easy :)
also salvaging makes tons of isks
Other than that the billionares in this game have somethign called T2 Bpo's and we'll never catch up :P but if you can invent and build a T2 rig you'll be roling in 500 mil :)
good luck!
also the new on-board scanner is great for making money :)

Depends on what you have been doing so far. You can make ISKies with mission running, mining, hauling, trading ( buy cheap, sell for more ) and so on. Find something you like to do get the skills to do it better and ISK will come.
Wishing best of Luck

ok warp to a planet mate open your scanner click the on-board scanner and click on the look for C sig (I can't spell, you'll figure it out :P) then click scan.
if you don't find anything check another planet. all of these sites are found with either one scan or not a all :)
then warp to them and blow up what you find

Will take your word with a big pinch of salt on that one...always use a covert ops with multispectrums probes then throw out the usual probes at each planet if there is a sig.

What do you mean by "decent ship" ?
T1 frigates are very cheap , yet terribly underrated. You can do about anything with them - mining , ratting , missions (up to level 3) , trading , and pirating.
There are ways of making ISK out of nothing , but obviously people in the know aren't going to share them
Try scamming. If you are a months old character , you could pretend to be a battleship manufacturer. Make enticing offers to gullible people and have them pay up front before you laugh at them and leave. There , you get a good hundred millions with zero investment. Of course , this requires patience , skill and a complete lack of morals.

Grab a IBIS and head to jita. Dump a can out by a gate or station and ask for ISK. Tell every one that you were gainked and are now to broke to even buy a clone.
You will be surprised at how well it works.

Even running level 2s you can earn 5-8M an evening. Or you could fly to 0.0 and find a spawn that drops loot worth 500m too, but its unlikely you will ever make it there or stay long enough with everyone else shooting at you I would recommend the mission route until you decide what you want to do.
There are no "Get Rich" tricks in EvE that work even 10% of the time; you have to have patience and grind. Once you can start running level 3 missions solo without warping out then ISK starts piling up so you can afford the other ways of making it. The days of getting filthy rich running missions are pretty much gone, but you can still make decent ISK and explore other avenues by funding them with missions.
You didn't mention what ships you are trying to fly to make money with or what kinds of skills you have. I would highly recommend downloading EvEMon and Quickfit to help you plan your future.... <-----------> Factional Warfare:

sory.. since the issue is being spamed so much, I thought it was another one of those threads.
As to the OP:
It depends on what skills you have and how much money you want to make. Race also plays a part if the skills are low (Eg: osprey for mining).
Tell us a little bit about your skills and what you like to do and people could came up with great options for ya.

Salvaging is also another way to make some decent money. Heck i did a handful of level II misions the other day, picked up 150 pieices of salvage that sold for 20+ million. Pocket change to the older folks but at your level 20 million is a nice pick. Just make sure you do a combat mission related contact.

You only need about 7 or 8 million tops - Sell the ore rather than refine it. I mined for my first Cruiser then never used my mining skill (2) and drones (1) ever again. Then I just spammed missions (fit a salavger) and you'll be fine. Even lvl 2 combat missions can be profitable with salvage....
Just remember to ensure the ship!

If you run missions then don't forget to reprocess the junk you pick up. Make sure you're in a station with 50% efficiency (in the reprocessing window move your mouse over the text in the top right for info) of a corp who likes you (such as the one you're working for) and even if the junk won't sell the minerals you accrue over time will.
It always amuses me whenever I melt down mining lasers for minerals. ----- Currently playing: Hello Kitty Online Character: Evil Kitty of DEATH |

Join 0.0 alliance and go kill some 0.0 rats. Being a few months old you can do it already. Rat in a cruiser, hit and run, pick off the weaker spawns. You'll be making like 3-6 mil in bounties and 10-20 mil in loot each hour. A few hours of this every week and you can buy yourself a number of decent ships.
