I ran into some problems with clipboard import with EFT version 2.4.1. I only tried to import setups made with V2.4.1. EFT didn't import anything if the setup name contained commas, for example setup name:
[Sacrilege, T2 HAM, MWD, 2 x EW, Neut]
didn't import at all until I manually removed the commas. This did work:
[Sacrilege, T2 HAM - MWD - 2 x EW - Neut]
This line also caused problems:
Medium Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 400
Also import failed with floating point exception when I tried to import the same line without comma and charge definition:
Medium Capacitor Booster II
Import worked without problems if I removed this line, yet the line was originally written by EFT V2.4.1 itself.
This line didn't stop import:
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Hellfire Rage Assault Missile
but the ammo type didn't make it to the imported version. Another comma there.
Can anyone else repeat these problems, or is the problem only in my setup? Could the regional settings of Windows have an effect? I'm using English WinXP Pro with Finnish regional settings.

Originally by: Ayanis More on topic, this bug also happened to me until I changed the Windows regional settings and set the decimal separator to . (dot) instead of , (comma).
This seems to be closely related to the import issue I posted about a bit earlier. It seems EFT 2.4.1 may have problems with different separators in Windows regional settings.

My testing confirms this. EFT 2.7 doesn't give any speed penalty from one or more salvaging rigs, but the game does. |

Download and extract the new version to a different location. Copy the folder marked "Setups" from the old to the new. Done.
There is much easier way: unzip the new version on top of the old version making sure you overwrite old files. All setups, settings and character data is unaffected.

It took me a while to realise why your screenshots look so ugly. All icons have black background for some reason. Is that a conflict between EFT and Vista, or is it something like a problem with your specific setup, maybe with buggy display driver?

Originally by: Fastercart But according to CCP, torpedoes must "accelerate" to full speed instead of launching at and keeping a constant velocity. Because of this acceleration, torpedoes' flight time make them expire before everyone except CCP expects.
CCP Casqade confirms what Fastercart said here: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=849257&page=1#9
My own tests confirm it in game as well.

Sigh, it must be hard for Gripen to follow this topic with over 2000 messages, getting "bug reports" like this...
EFT 2.8 gives Myrmidon 150 m3 drone space and 75 Mbit/s drone bandwidth, which is 100% correct.
Leadership settings were moved to the bottom of the right hand side column.

Window positions are stored in a text file called config.ini. First close EFT, then try to edit the file and if that doesn't help, rename it.

Open 2 ship setups in 2 different windows. Set squad, wing or fleet boosters from the other ship instead from a pilot.

It seems to me that you have 5% hardwire in your EFT character editor profile. Change it to 3% hardwire and you will get the same results you will in game.

Do this:
1) If old EFT is running, close it.
2) Unzip the new version on top of the old version to the exactly same directory. Make sure your unzip tool creates all directories and overwrites all old files. If in doubt, install better unzip tool.
3) Run new EFT.

Originally by: Bombyx yes my skills are updated and it's easy, i've no implant ! ^^ any idea ?
The powergrid difference is exactly 10%. 10% difference can come from either skills (2 levels of Engineering), combination of skill and hardwire (1 lvl of Eng + 5% hw), or from rigs (1 x ACR). Or from an outdated version of EFT.
Since you reported that skills and implants are the same both in EFT and ingame, the anwswer is simple: you have 3 x CCC rig in EFT while you have 2 x CCC and 1 x ACR rig ingame. The graphics of CCC and ACR look the same so you can't tell the difference from screenshots alone.
Sigh, it must be pretty bad for Gripen to keep getting "bug reports" like this...

Not true. If you open Kestrel in EFT V2.10.4 without skills, cap size is 250 - just like in game. You get extra +8% from somewhere... perhaps you get +5% from the cap size skill (Energy Management lvl 1) and +3% from a hardwire ('Squire' CC4)? Or perhaps you are running some older version of EFT?

First, place one or more XML files containing Eve ship setups to the directory "My Documents\Eve\fittings" (where ever "My Documents" is in your Windows installation"). One way to place files there is to open the ship fitting screen in Eve and do "export".
Second, open EFT and select "Import fit from XML..." from the File-menu.

EFT V2.10.4 has correct values. It seems to me that you are mixing basic EVE concepts of drone bay size and drone bandwidth. Myrmidon has 150 m3 drone bay, but it can use only 75 m3 worth of drones at once because of bandwidth limitation. This is true both ingame and in EFT. |

Robo, make sure that the unzip tool you use will create the directory structure. The best way is to unzip new version on top of the old version making sure the unzip tool overwrites old files. Doing it this way will make a clean upgrade and will keep your characters and ship setups. Make sure the old version is not running when you unzip (you would have locked files that can't be overwritten).

JPEG has unbeatable quality/size for photographs. For icons, text, white window areas and such, PNG is better. As a bonus, PNG is lossless with bit-for-bit accuracy giving vastly better screenshot quality and smaller size at the same time. PNG compression methdod is similar to ZIP, while JPEG's compression works a bit like MP3.
