Deployment of the first patch for Revelations II will be tomorrow, 3 July from the hours of 1100 through 1500 GMT. This patch contains a number of fixes and enhancements for the Revelations II expansion.
Patch Notes are available for review, any updates will be highlighted with green text.

So has the Cruise missile CPU need been adjusted up or down???
Cause I dont have a lot of cpu to mess around with, and I would hate to have to take of my bay loading accelerator rig and loose it, just because some cpu need has been changed.
And another thing - when u click a normal module, you can see how much cpu and power it would take from the ship, but you cant when you click a rig - howcome is that?

The patch notes are very vague . could you please clarify .
- cpu of named cruise launchers has been adjusted . is this more or less ? .
- Numerous fixes and balancing have been performed on LP Offers. - what kind of fixes . You don`t need to name them all but give us a feel for some of the changes .
would be nice to see a more elaborate explanation of these changes .

Also, I agree with others, some further clarification of this is needed: Numerous fixes and balancing have been performed on LP Offers.

Been having MASSIVE memory leaks, no fix to this? (running 2 accounts, they go up to 200-220mb memory usage each!)
Also can UI be changed around modules so it's more easy to tell if they are online or offline? It's a pain when changing targets with lasers anyways.

Also... can the drone health status bars be made similar to the gang bars... so they take up less space on the overview?
Also... I had heard plans to make POS Missile launchers use NO CPU, making them just as valid as hybrids and projectiles are for POS defence?

Has anyone else noticed a drop in the invention success rates since the last patch? I've gone from 40% success to about 10% and other inventors I've talked to have also. But there is nothing in the release notes about a change. I guess it is possible that we are all just having a run of bad luck at the same time, but considering the huge investments needed for invention, if a change has been made that so dramatically affects the profitability of invention, it would be nice if they would give some form of warning before nerfing all of the players previous experience and statistical analysis.

Yes I agree. What about those? I don't see it listed. Or the fix for the targeting sound that will not stop if you are targeting a ship and it gets blown up before the target finishes locking. Only way to stop it is to log. But really, most important the new Mech agents!!

There was no mention of the problem with "Take" rights on containers in corp hangers.
ATM for someone to be able to take something out of a container, they need "Take" rights. However, if you grant take rights then they are able to take whole containers from the respective corp hanger. It also makes passwording containers pointless as anyone with take rights is also able to retreive passwords for containers.
Please tell me this is a change/bug that will be fixed, and not like that by design.

an error like that will hender gameplay and is a major bug, hence "stuck" status.
if you blew it up that would be reimbursement.

When you say it wasn't in the POS, do you mean it wasn't in the control tower's storage, or it wasn't in the lab's storage? The lab has it's own storage capacity where the blueprint might have ended up.

It was in the station....I was researching it remotely using a POS in the same system. When the job was started blueprint was in my corp hangar at the station. That is where it should have been deposited again once delivered.

Would have been nice if CCP would have mentioned something about the lagg and desync's they introduced with the o so great rev 2.0 patch...
It's just plain ridiculous that customer support blames the lagg and desync's on ISP problems and PC problems.
I can understand when lagg problems can't get fixed but it is pretty sad that new features have to come at the expense of lagg decrease and even worse lagg increase. the game won't run on new feaure when it becomes more unplayable everytime a patch comes out. 2 - Opening wrecks and freezing the screen and creating lag for all gang (tied to overview status changing) will be fixed?
3 - Caldari ships will continue to be nerfed and turn to be only PvE ships? Decreasing recharge rate of shields to all BC was not what I can call "balance" if only Caldary rely exclusively on shields... or you think you nerfed Ammar BC too? Manticore had that lots of drawbacks (Sig Radius, Cargo Space, Velocity, etc) just because was the only one that could fit 3 lauchers... How do you suppose to bring Caldari pilots to PvP (and I believe is more than 50% of the playerbase) if the ships they fly are not suited to and at each patch/expansion they become even more useless to PvP. BTW, some more nerf on EW?

By the way, how is it about a statement for the Inventing? At the moment there are so mutch rumors around.....it would be REALLY intresst now IF CCP makes stealth-nerf¦s or not...couse sorry CCP, if you dont say ANYthing to that, you will lose more and more the trust of the people? Not also this Joke from a Democracy Player Council to look that your dev¦s not cheating (And every of them must surely make there sign under a EULA that forbidds them to say a single word , haha, thats so lol....), then there are also Patches that dont Patch the things that WOULD be Important for 80% of all player¦s, and also the rumors of stealth nerf¦s in inventing , and you dont react at all of that?
Hey Sorry, what the hell is goin on with you? Just to keep silence is no solution, how about maybe some answers for the MANY MANY People that belive in that game and ask you....Will be there a Fix for the DeSync? Will there be Fixes for the Lag¦s? WILL You do somethin and stop to blame the Player¦s and just say "It¦s your fault couse your PC is ****?" , will you answer the many many player who ask you "WHat about Stealth Nerf¦s in inventing?"
Come on CCP....if you wanna try to build up again the trust of the Player¦s in your Company, you should really do somethin!

Yes I agree. What about those? I don't see it listed. Or the fix for the targeting sound that will not stop if you are targeting a ship and it gets blown up before the target finishes locking. Only way to stop it is to log. But really, most important the new Mech agents!!
Logging is not the only way to fix this! Press ESC and on the audio tab, click audio off, then back on. The targeting sound stops. Yes, it will start again if triggered but you don't have to log to stop it!

Since the revelations II patch while missioning, half of loot becomes the property of eve bank, another problem I found is in my kill mail system, I have tested this several times one willing and some unwilling pod pilots, and my kill mails still have not arrived, is some one in eve bank reciveing my kills.... if so where is he/she posting them =)

I really HOPE that ALL of the fixes in the patchnotes are applied, not as the one saying that the ugly effect of shield transporters going through your ship was fixed when it's still happening (in a Basilisk at least).
I also HOPE the desync issue will be there in green text before 11.00GMT.

Also, same thing with mission wrecks' ownership (all rumoured partial take of rat kill bounties).
Quote: The briefing of the "Worlds Collide" missions incorrectly stated acceleration gates were open and could be used without having to kill NPCs in its vicinity, the briefing has been corrected.
Has the mission been corrected that you don't need to kill both of the enemy factions at 1st location to access the gates? (a known bug according to GMs) -- V.H.

You are right:
Malkuth 57 -> 48 Arbalest 48 -> 51 Limos 54 = 54 XT-9000 51 -> 57 Tech1 60 = 60 Tech2 66 = 66 So an Arbalest Cruise Raven will need (with WU 5) 13.5 tf more than before.

befor RevelationsII the translation was like done with google... now it seems a bit better but still... get someone who speaks german as a main language and let him read over the translation... there are so many confusing and sometimes even totally wrong words used

Am I the only one who thinks this is too short notice ? Doesn't CCP have a minimum time to issue notice before initiating extended downtimes ?
This was announced 02/07 @ 17:13 GMT. Downtime started 03/07 @ 11:00 GMT.
That's way less than 24 hours notice, which (IMHO) should be the *minimum* amount of notice given to users. Anyone else care to speak on this ?
P.S. I didn't lose any skill training time this time, but I easily could have. -

CCP themselves suggest that we set a long skill.
IF the servers aren't back, you can bet anything you want that almost any "my skill is done, I can't switch" thread/post would be instantly replied by an arrogant "Why didn't you set a longer skill, as they said"...
As said, it's hardly an epic tragedy - but a good example of bad communication. Surely CCP knew in advance that there is a patch - after all, they tested it for a while, didn't they?...

From past experience, would it be wise to backup the cache folder? Just ctrl drag a copy of, and let the thing patch. After patch, overwrite it back?
Or is that not advisable as the patched client won't work with the old cache?

I realy cant believe all the whining going on here..
Do you want everything fixed at once? if so - wait a few months. For now, let CCP fix what they are able to and give them a break.
If any one of you can claim to be a better programmer than the team at CCP apply for a job with them and see what happens. My guess is no-one will apply, as its far to easy to moan about other people doing the job as best they can.

From past experience, back-up the whole EVE :D
But since Rev.2 the cache and settings are in some different folder, I'd just backup that folder (Disclaimer: yes, I'm using XP and the /end /lua:off trick, so I'm not sure where the new files are exactly).
If settings don't work after patch, get the settings backups back, try if things works. Or, wait for full client, and copy settings over it. Or, in worst case, redo all settings (BTDT).

Amen! A skill queue would make me flip for joy and promise to pay forever and ever to play and would eliminate any hassling issues of skill training or training mid-length skills! No to mention save bandwidth in areas where people log in and out just to change skill and then logout or just stayafk for hours and hours! Please CCP.... I pay you don't I?

Decreasing recharge rate of shields to all BC was not what I can call "balance" if only Caldary rely exclusively on shields... or you think you nerfed Ammar BC too? Manticore had that lots of drawbacks (Sig Radius, Cargo Space, Velocity, etc) just because was the only one that could fit 3 lauchers... How do you suppose to bring Caldari pilots to PvP (and I believe is more than 50% of the playerbase) if the ships they fly are not suited to and at each patch/expansion they become even more useless to PvP. BTW, some more nerf on EW?
I'm sure CCP will be satisfied after making some anti-missile laser defence to shoot down all missiles you just launched, also I think things that prevent shield boosting are needed.
Btw for me these "addons" or "expansions" look more like patches. Didn't find a lot of new things. __________________________________________________

Yepp, me too wants this to be looked at, I can hardly see and have to turn and twist the view around until I can see whats on and off..
Also it should be possible to make the right hand side with all your buttons, wrecks etc. not click-trough, it`s annoying to again turn and twist the view so you can click the think you want and not anything on your viewscreen thats hidden behind it.

The official end time of the patch is 3pm UTC, which is in 2,5 hrs. :)
Most likely they are at the moment having limited-login mode, since CCP wants to test the patch out before letting you guys (to ****-up your client if the patch is messed-up.)
After the test are done, EVE will accept log-ins again . Then get the patch, or let the client auto-patch itself. -- V.H.

That's lame. Why are they forcing everyone to get the patch on startup? By not making it available for download as soon as they had a finalised version, they are going to cause Massive server loads (not necessarily on their own servers depending on how they have it set up, but on the hubs that they/we seem to be having issues with on connectivity) because as people all start to download at the same time and jump in game as soon as they can, those routes are going to have to support a data surge from people doing both at once, after all HOW many people run multiple clients that have to be patched separately? Would be much faster if the patch went up on the site as soon as they decided on a final install for it.

Edit: and why do you wanna patch seperately? what a waist, when one client has downloaded the patch, the patch is stored in one of the eve directory's simply installing that on another client is enough.

I dont doubt that CCP has their own server issues figured out... I was referring to the threads about disconnections that are tracing consistently to a hub( or hubs) a few jumps out from CCP's servers. I have several corp mates that are still experiencing these issues, so I know they havent been fixed yet. I dont know if there is anything CCP CAN do if a hub is dropping EVE traffic on a regular basis. (heh.. talk about inner conspiracy theorists.. mine goes wild over that one)

It's not the downtime, it's the fact that they say it will be up at a certain time and dont even update that information when that times comes and goes.
I used to be a software engineer myself and I totally understand the snags that patches can run into ... i just want some damn info!!!!!

Yes. Both me and a corpmate immediately noticed a drop in our invention percentages. My corpmate went from 60% to about 40%, while I went from about 50% down to 30%. Barely enough to break even for me.

BTW, today my account expires so i am eager to use all the time i have until tonight when i will make the new payment.

Originally by: Sire Magnus Has anyone else noticed a drop in the invention success rates since the last patch? I've gone from 40% success to about 10% and other inventors I've talked to have also. But there is nothing in the release notes about a change.
that is noticable magnus and i noticed a friend of mine made a topic asking for more public opinions about the changes that were made to invention. it seems from what i was told by her that even with the cheaper invention imp that is currently out it still does not increase the success rate to what it was before the Rev II patch was released.
speaking of which i saw nothing mentioned about the changes to those implants listed on the patch notes..... will there be any form of changes made to show the % of chance increase in suceeding in a invention job or are those who do invention still stuck at guessing

Aye! Patch time is not 'LAST CALL". Its a reason to have a few rums, read the forums. Go get the dishes done, and house cleaning that you have seriously neglected. Many of you, EVE is your real life. The one you thought was real.. hahahaha, now is your chance to "PATCH", go get stuff done. The time will pass very fast.

Should have been up at 10 AM Eastern ... (7am pacific) but there seems to be a patch that it's not downloading or something, therefore giving everyone the "incorrect protocol" message

Its 14:28 UTC, which is what the EVE servers use.

It's not 15:20 GMT, it's 14:20 GMT. If you're in Britain, it's currently 15:30 BST (British Summer Time). Still another 30 mins of official downtime.

Actually the planned 15:00 GMT uptime would mean it would be 11:00 AM EST not 10:00 AM like you suggest.

I'm sure there must be a reason for this last minute announcement of this extended downtime... Although i seriously doubt that we will ever get to hear what it was...
What i don't understand is why the dreaded realtek audio bug isn't listed in the "known issues".. new driver updates from realtek doesn't work, and the fix on the forum doesn't eighter...
The "sound engine" on eve might have been improved but the bug is still there..

I see no:
"We fixed the desync. Whats desync I hear you ask? (he he, j/k, we know everyone has been bum drilled by this total show-stopper) Well desync is that crazy bug where you can't do anything with your ship but log out and back in to your pod in a station somewhere. But now its fixed."
Therefore, patch = irrelevant.
