WhatÆs the point of Level 3 and Level 4 agentÆs now?
Level 3 use to be for battleships, then they introduced Level 4 agents and they became the new agents for battleships.
Now with the introduction of level 5 agents, IÆm hearing of some people soloÆing in uber faction fits (which a lot of mission runners have already) or just getting an alt to give them a tanking boost (which most mission runners have already too).
I remember long ago the Devs stating they wanted more people in low security systems, and so they were going to have the level 4 agents reside there. Well, not all level 4 agents are there, but in fact, some are in high sec empire. Now theyÆve stated they want level 5 agents in low sec systems, but again, IÆm hearing reports of how there are some level 5 agents not in low sec systems, but in high sec.
They also stated long ago when introducing level 4 agents they were designing them for gangs, groups, or corporations. We see how that worked. Level 5 agents are now for gangs, groups, or corporations, and already weÆre not seeing very many gangs doing them, mostly people solo with an alt.
So, in lieu of all my complaining, hereÆs a few of my suggestions. IÆm sure some have been suggested before, but maybe my voice will be larger then others :
1. Move ALL level 5 agents to low security systems. Risk must be worth the reward.
2. Open up the deadspace complexes in level 5 agents to capital ships, and up the tanks of the npcÆs to require a 2nd damage dealer at least. ItÆs easier to have an alt with the skills to remote repair you then it is to have the same alt with the skills to do decent damage.
3. Create LP points and rewards for corporations. When completing level 5 agents, have them give LP points towards the corp, and standings increase to the player doing the mission. Then have an LP store available to only corps, with items not available to a solo mission runner.
4. Eventually release level 6 agents to only pirate corps. This should get more people out in 0.0 (ccpÆs goal right?). These agents should require a minimum of say 4 capital ships to run.
That seems to be all my thoughts for now. My goal is to stop solo mission running for any agent, but have higher leveled agents reward gang work and cooperation.
PS. Please finally fix the npcs to be more accurately effected by our modules. IE, NOS. NPCÆs tanks donÆt seem to fail after nosing them for a while.

And as an empire wardeccing corp, you have no personal interest in this change?

It would be ... amusing to see the NOSdomi take over from the Raven as the premier missionrunning ship.

We only war dec in empire? Last time I checked, we operated out of the 0.0 for our last contract.

Aye it would, but NOSdomi is a differant subject altogether.

I'd put those sources on ignore tbh. All level 5 agents are in lowsec, but some are right now not deep enough into lowsec and spit out a mission that is in hisec every once in a while.

See above. Don't rely on hearsay.

Supported.

Just curious, if solo pve content has to vanish, does solo pvp has to go aswell? As in, can't engage someone unless in a gang and at least one gangmate is on-grid, for example.

So if there claims are true then ask for a fraps as check my link at the bottom and look at some of the pics in there and tell me that someone can solo a lvl 5 on their own :s
I would love to see that video.

Did you intend to say that your goal is not to stop solo mission running? Cause it would seem that way by the second half of your message here.
And if it was indeed your intention to say that you are against solo mission running might I ask what exactly is so bad about doing missions solo?

I'm sorry, I think I got ahead of myself when I typed that last bit. I don't mean to stop ALL solo mission running, only solo mission running for higher agents. I think solo running should be allowed, but the higher reward runs (tossed out by lvl 4 and 5 agents) should be geared more towards groups.

Edited by: PostWithYourMain on 09/07/2007 20:51:14 What we need are empire npc corps to proliferate into 0.0
I.E. If a box is Curse with systems spread out within, the left side of the box will contain Minmatar Republic security stations, and the right side will hold angels/serpentis.
Only for regions bordering empire if possible.

Edited by: Jirikki on 10/07/2007 01:40:53 Lvl 5 missiona might not even bother to exist at the moment. First, the rewards are 1% of what they should be and there are swarms of mission gankers preventing anyone from doing them anyway. Maybe in a year there will be lvl 5 missions and the prototypes of future lvl 6 missions will be in the works.
The point of lvl 3 missions is for people who have been playing for more than 2 months but less than 8 to have missions that they can do to earn a subsistance living. Lvl 4 missions are for people who have been playing less than 2 years who don't work for CCP or have a macromining fleet to earn enough money to try to do something in 0.0

lets not forget how many lvl5 agents there is atm. yes a total of 38 in the whole universe.
lvl5 agents are beyond pre nerf. you are wasting your time doing them. missions take too long, reward is laughable at best. and lets not forget they are mostly swarmed by pirates, because.... theres 38 of them. so they are really hard to find.
if the devs want more people in low sec, make alot more lvl5 agents, spread them out to all regions with low sec, and boost the rewards. and its not quite hot news that there is lvl4 agents in high sec is it? been that way since exodus.
what does the op want with this crusade against solo players? not everyone plays the game the way you play it. and if you are gonna "fix" npc's you might wanna think about this: 1. blackbird with ecm 2. celestis with damps 3. thorax with gank 4. 0.0 belt spawns will be too easy 5. too much isk on market (goons making zillions each day)
why lvl6 agents only for pirate corps? lvl6 will be for cap ships. which means stupid rich carebears doing missions in crap fitted cap ships = easy ganks. tell me you really dont want that? most people will NEVER leave high sec, how come some of you will never understand that? (let alone 0.0)you could have free billions of isk each week for just living there and most people would still not leave high sec.

Well so far CCP can't seem to make a coop mission with out just adding huge amounts of NPC creating a huge lag fest.
So yeah I love to coop but I would like to just fight better AI for once.
Like yes making our EWAR work better with NPC would be good BUT if there are 30 NPC what use is ECM on one of them or 2 at the most?
Because they all aggro on just one of you most of the time, you might as well just blow them up instead of waisting ECM time and module space. ETC..
And one other probelm you can put all this stuff in low sec but none of it will get people out there if it is no more fun.
Right now I like to do missions in low sec because you can use things like Smart Bombs and AoE stuff with out getting ganked by Concord. And because the level of people are cooler and more interesting out there.
But sometimes it just is not worth it.
If people want to solo then let them why would you care anyways, as long as you can ask someone to coop a mission with you then it is fine, they are not that easy, and no one has told me the rewards were worth it yet anyways for L5's.
If you do them solo it will take allot longer anyways.
Right now they are just mostly a big hassle and you need cyno fields to get to most of them or clones.
Right now I would only do an L5 if I lived in the system.
Not sure about the Caldari area, they get babyed up there anyways. But I'm in the lower Amarr Khanid Regions and there nothing is close, but less laggy :)

Edited by: Marie Sklodowska on 10/07/2007 06:51:28 Royaldo, take your meds, go back to bed. A few replies down I corrected myself on my last statement. My mind seemed to move faster then my hands could type, but you wouldn't know how that goes would you?
No, I'm not upset at so much isk in game, don't care that much about macro farmers, and I don't give a second thought to isk sellers really..
I just want something to do w/ the rest of my corp besides shooting a pos or joining into a mining gang. Missions are cool, they can be fun. But where is this mythical gang mission running that CCP talks of but fails to produce on so many occasions.
It's also painfully obvious that anytime something get said on these forums, there seems to be no discussion posted as a reply; and a kind word is scarce to be found. I'm going to return to trolling the sell forums and make myself some kind of reminder to never post in another section again....
Thanks to those that did respond in a civil manner..
