I recently found a Faction Blueprint and have been trying to get rid of it since I am never going to use it. In addition, I have always been wanting to get a Snake Alpha implant. But nomatter how hard I try, nobody will accept the contract.
So what about the price difference? It is a faction Blueprint, and those aren't very common from what I am aware of. In fact, I even added some extra ISK to the Contract. However, I am unable to put in much extra ISK in the contract because I am practically broke. Three Million ISK is nothing compared to the several hundred million most people seem to have. Not only that, but I can't do any Level II missions yet because my standings with my agent aren't high enough.
So I repeat my question: Why do the prices for Implants have to be so damn high? My thread in the EVE Fiction forums has dissapeared. Somebody pease help! |

I really hope you're trolling.
In case you're not trolling:
Supply, meet demand. Nobody wants your level one mission blueprint, and/or there are lots of them. Lots of people want snakes, and they're much more rare. |

For one thing, it isn't a Level 1 Mission Blueprint. I found it while ratting. And like I said, it is a faction Blueprint.
Another thing, I am not trolling.
As for implants: Why doesn't CCP just make Implant Blueprints (including the occasional Faction Implants, like Snake)? My thread in the EVE Fiction forums has dissapeared. Somebody pease help! |

I have no idear what blueprint you are trying to sell (not intrested either).
But I do know that generally the people offering the implants are not looking for a blueprint copy to produce from. So even if you are offering a deal that is priced acceptebly, you are still making it harder by making it a package deal.
I advice you to just try to sell the bpc you have at a fair price, or produce the item and sell that if that is a more profitable option. Then you can buy your desired implant from the open market (provided you earned enough from the sale).
Otherwise you could also fly missions for the correct faction and earn yourself that implant from the faction store. (PS taking a peek there will also help you discover why the implant is priced as it is) |

A few things. First, welcome to EVE. I can only assume you haven't been here long, or if you were, you didn't read the "documentation".
Here's a tip about mission availability : train the skill CONNECTIONS to at least L3 as soon as you read this, and to L4 whenever convenient. It should open up L2 agents before you're done with the third level of the skill (assuming you had some standings to begin with) and open up L3 agents a lot sooner a bit later on with minimal additional effort. Theoretically, if you do it like that, even a fresh character should have access to L2 agents in the first day of his pilot life, and access to L3 agents in a couple of days after character creation. L4 agents should open up by the time the extended trial is done. Not that you can fly anything that can safely solo complete them, but still.
Second, there's many types of faction blueprints, some are very profitable, some are complete junk. Sure, some things might be rare, but that doesn't necessarily make them very valuable. Somebody could want it for its collection, but unless you can use it to manufacture something for a profit, that's all the value anybody will ever assign to it. If you tell us WHAT blueprint you were talking about, we might tell you how to make money off of it, if it's even possible to make money with that particular blueprint. Also, if you can't make any money from it, you can either drop it in a jetcan and hope somebody picks it up, or you can just trash it, or you can keep it in your hangar as a reminder.
Last, the issue of PIRATE implant prices. Pirate implants are not supposed to be very common, so their supply is kept low by a combination of low native combined encounter/drop rates and high LP-shop prices. It's the same logic patterns behind a frigate costing 1 mil per bundle, destroyers roughly 1 mil each, but battlecruisers up to several dozen million ; or the same logic behind arbalest launchers costing a lot more than malkuths ; you want quality and capability to cost more, in general, and a marginal increase in utility being accompanied by a significant rise in price. Also, there's a matter of who uses what, and how often those things are lost. But we're getting ahead of ourselves. Long story short, pirate implants are not "beginner level" stuff, but a long-term goal.
P.S. And some of us have several hundred billion ISK. With a B, not an M. We could easily afford to buy pirate implants just to use in our combat clones. Some people actually do that, since they give them an edge, even if losing that clone would cost a bundle. :P Oh, and supercapital ships also cost quite a few billion ISK each (~20b supercarriers, ~70b titans, give or take a few dozen billion). But there's still several good hundreds of each flying around. http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Contributor_name:Akita_T#Contributions_link_collection |

If you can't do lvl2 missions maybe a snake implant isn't what you need yet... |

I got the impression he's not trying to sell in the strict sense of the word. He's trying to do a swap, by Contract. He gives you the BP, you give him the implant. He says he has thrown some ISK in to sweeten the deal.

You Sir are an idiot.
Main reason you are an idiot is cause you are trying to sell that is not a ship for a price of a ship - minerals needed to make it.
You are not factoring in the "I WANT IT NOW" factor.
I suggest you lover the price of whatever you are selling by 50 mill. You will sell it immedeatly.
I am happy to have been of service to you. My ego is the the size of my carriers jump range. |

Not all faction items are worth a lot. Your particular item might not have much use - because nobody uses it it isn't worth much despite it's high meta level.
On top of that; Son, you have NO IDEA what an "expensive" implant is.
