Hello all,
I deactivated my main account a few months ago(posting from a trial account btw), but I recently got an e-mail from CCP informing me of the release of revelations II. Having been primarily a mission runner, I was interested in the LP store concept, as well as higher-lvl missions. But reading an older thread on the forums, it seemed like they were really going to nerf lvl 4 missions in the process of adding new mission levels, both their difficulty and their payouts. I understand that lvl 5 missions are supposed to only be available in lowsec space, and that's understandable, but since I don't have the PvP experience to do missions out there, I'll probably be sticking to the lower-level missions for a while to come, and I just want to know if they are still profitable enough to continue to fund myself in-game if I were to come back, as it seems market prices for just about everything are way up.
What I'm curious about specifically, is how much have lvl 4 missions been toned down, both in terms of rewards (both LP and ISK), and difficulty since the addition of lvl 5's?
Thanks very much for your time.
P.S. This is an unrealated question, but I remember hearing a lot of complaining on the forums a few months back, about a performance gap between different faction's ships and weapons. Are these complaints still on-going now? Or has CCP managed to balance things to most people's satisfaction?

Lev 4 are still profitable. Well at least as profitable as they were 2 months ago. There is few new 'crap' (meaning easy and time consuming with low rewards) and some new 'good' (good rewards, tough) missions. On average it's still the same. they did not move best lev 4 missions into lev 5 and low sec. Instead lev 5 got new set of missions specifically designed for that.
CNR is still king of lev 4 missions. One ship is always 'the best'. Perhaps one day 'the best' ship will be something else. Currently Abbadon comes close or in some cases is even faster than CNR in few missions (some drone missions, some against blood raiders/sansha) but CNR is best 'all around' ship for missions.

Oh, well it's good to hear they never went through with that, it seemed like a bad idea when they could just make some new missions for lvl 5.
Thanks for the reply!

Missions are pretty unchanged. Easier if you have not played since Rigs appeared.
Only real difference is the lack of isk making from LP, which does bother a fair number players.

Converting LP to isk has never been easier. Several non combat corporations have nexsus chip offers with NPC buy orders up at rate 1000 isk / LP. No wait and hassle just cash in if you are hurry. If you are not hurry and can wait a bit you can get as high as 2000 ... 3000 isk / LP assuming you pick the good offers and sell them yourself.
