I haven't see any benefit from it.
No better agents for corp members, no refining tax lowered, nothing at all.
Someone told me that I'll get jumpclones available from that, but it looks most likely a bug made by accident rather than a feature.
So, what the point?

It has some deep dark hidden significance that will only be revealed when Factional Warfare is introduced. BoB will throw the tourney in order to receive this bonus, and will use it to help launch their takover of all of empire.

Some patchs ago one with no personal standing to a corp with medical bays used to be able to join a corp with 8.0 standing. This then allowed said player to setup jump clones since when in player corps you had to have corp standing of 8.0. They would then leave said 8.0+ corp and retain said jumpclone.
However CCP has removed this and now relies on the personal standing to said NPC corp. This was the only purpose of these standings that I know of at this time.

you are incorrect on this point... ccp changed it from... just the corp having an 8.0 to either the player and or the corp having an 8.0 for jump clones.

+10 standing to any pirate faction means that the belt/gate/etc rats wont shoot your corp anymore so you can mine all day with no problem

And probably something to do with Factional Warfare when its introduced in 2012.

Corp standing with faction which have sovereignity on that system.
I know that I can anchor POS in 0.4-0.7 when I have 4.0-7.0 corp standing with that empire.
But I asking about corp standing with NPC corporations. What's benefit from it?

Doing missions for Outbreak supports cookie production :P

Go look at an npc corp you don't have personal standings with, but have corp standings with.
Look at your standings.
Leave the corp and look at those standings again.
