Originally by: Sc'a Your right Bell, I mean murderone... it wasn't just one person. I'd like to point out the leadership and founding members of Freefall Securities, VBBoy, Meeus69 and Frost/Saeris/Jaden Kasan. Whom, prior to the Tri invasion of YA0, during the Razor siege on Terror in the System had made threats and the idea of leaving to form their own alliance public knowledge to some of the Vx Leadership. After being talked down and into sticking out out through Tri, Crice stepped down as the leader of Vx and handed the reigns to Frost, as crice admitted he had a lot of personal issues going on at the time. This transaction occurred on the weekend leading up to the Triumvirate Evacuation NAP. 3 days later, on a Tuesday evening, a meeting was called by the three men mentioned above and the announcement was made, due to whatever you were told (because there were about 10 different stories) 42nd Armored/Death of Virtue (alt corps of each other), Shadow Company, and The Phoenix Rising were to pull out of the alliance to do their own thing. At this time there were several Tri POSes in Ya0, and at least one in VFK. Not just 1 in Ya0 as stated above. Of course, several friends in the north offered to take in the remaining corps of Vx but it was up to each individual corp to make it's own decision of it's future. The only thing that was agreed upon as the 3 corps bailing wouldn't be staying to help fight back Tri and leave gracefully, the remaining corps could not do it on their own. A quick poll was taking from all remaining corp leadership and the offer Tri made for a 5 day NAP was taken so all corps could cut their losses and pull out. It was not GE who made this decision on their own, but it was the last Alliance wide action that was taken in the Deklein Region. I informed Tri that we would take the nap and all other parties were informed. All corps started doing what they needed to do in order to pull out. CRICE corp kept it's final POS online in VFK as long as possible before a communication error resulted in it going off line early and being unanchored. This allowed Aftermath Alliance time to ensure they had the POSes in place to secure VFK and the result was one day of neutral sov. in the system and then the next day the Sov going to Aftermath. As for each member corporations story after this you'd have to consult them. But as it stands, DoV/SHADO/PNX-R pulling out of the alliance mid siege while the battle was not clearly going either direction is the reason this alliance was disbanded and what has lead CRICE Corp into it's current decision.
I'll write ... [Chopped for space]
...that most people in similar leadership positions would have the same perception on the events that transpired. There are parties who will try to tell a different story in order to save their face. But this is my story of Vx.
Yep, that's not far off. Except that we didn't make any threats. We were just talked out of leaving the first time round! :) We tried to leave as 'gracefully' as possible. But in the end of the day, whilst the relationships with Crice and GE etc were good, we never felt like the Alliance was communicating or functioning the way the mission-statement was set out at the beginning.
There were a couple of fairly frustrating high-profile incidents that eventually tipped us over the edge and made us pull out, which then prompted the NAP.
We're sad because we worked damn hard for the privelege of fighting alongside Crice, Juba, GE, Shado in LV, and worked hard to convince them to join the Vx project, with the genuine belief that it would work out. To choose to leave mid-fight and risk that people would mis-understand and potentially lose old friends was the hardest call we've ever had to make.
Anyway. Enough of that. Crice you're a legend. Truly one of the nicest people I've met in eve. All the best for the future fella.

It should be noted the exact timing of Frost / Jaden's little announcement. He pulled every corporate leader online at the time into a private convo on TS. The reason this should be noted is the fact he pulled us al without warning while we were engaged in fleet operations against a TRI fleet in YAO.
This may just be me thinking, but Frost / Jaden planned this out to a tee. He waited til Crice was gone, a mere 3 hrs after the man left for vacation, to pull this stunt. Makes me wonder if Frost / Jaden had a deal with TRI. CO-CEO Valiant Logistics Inc. |

It was everytime a pleasure to fly and work with you together.
Crice i wish you only the best and bright future, you deserve it. Enjoy the Game, get a little more fun on the private Level make soem isk's. Take it easy!
Also Thanks for the very good Time, of the Past it was a lot of fun, even in the hard times.
P.S. About the Vx Stuff: Unfortently i was'nt that weekend online as the **** hits the fan, took a small vacation till tuesday (or was it Wensday). And i was'nt pleased neither with the overall as well as the alliance sitiatuion either, but when in alliance you need to follow, even the not so mutch loved actions/decisions. (otherwise you would screw up your own Alliance Mates, by breaking a NAP.) If all had choosed to fight, there would'nd be a singel moon Empty, POS spamming got preaty perfect inside LV, thats for sure.

Crice, it is sad to see you go. Another American pilot/corp leader is out.
Best wishes and have a safe journey.

Edited by: crice on 30/07/2007 16:42:59 I didn't explain my plans very well. I wasn't going to revive this thread with my plans, how annoying is that eh?
I am not leaving EvE. I have ever intention to set all the standings to neutral except for VLINC and anyone else I might have contacted personally. (trust me it ain't much). I have caps, I got ISK, I got friends. We are looking for a home where I can bring some other US TZ players and pew pew by taking orders and not giving them for once in 4 years.
No more politics, no more negotiating no more "what now crice". Remember don't bring knives to a gun fight. Please no more convos about Vx and a BoB alt blah blah etc etc. Don't care. Don't wanna chat. I just wanna see things explode.
US TZ 4tw! I am no longer the CEO of CRICE Corp! WOOT!
peace love and die
PS: Much respect to all the love and old schoolers showing up in the thread!
