go into your application data and delete all references to eve. delete the entire eve folder after uninstaling. or you could just wait for the next patch :D :D

Edited by: Thor Parcon on 21/07/2007 03:01:04 I also managed to somehow do this. The error occurred while I was managing members in a fleet that I was controlling. Have tried to reset the overview settings, uninstalled and reinstalled EVE and I can't seem to correct the issue. You used to be able to just delete the cache file and all was back to stock settings but things have been moved around since then.
EDIT: giving this a shot, go to C:\documents and settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\
you should see your eve folder here. I believe this is where you can clear the cache to unlock the overview. have to reset everything back to the way it was though.

I'm grasping at straws here and have not atempted this so there's a huge chance it won't work. Remove all your drones from the drone bay and form a gang with someone. Resize your overview windows while in the gang. Leave the gang dock and add your drones to the bay.....undock.....
Try that. I'm curious.....

In my case, the actual Overview broke, just like your drones window did. There is a .dat file that is being broken, I think...
Go into:
C:\Documents and Settings\<your Windows login>\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\
..and rename Settings to Settings.broken or something. Then launch the game again. You'll have to reset bloody -everything- for all your accounts. You might be able to isolate exactly which of those settings files is broken, and only remove some of them... Or maybe CCP will just tell us which one is breaking.
You'll need to enable Show Hidden Files and Folders in your folder options to see Local Settings ... You can, apparently, thank Windows Vista Compatability for this mess.

I had exactly this problem last night. The way I got around it was to find the cache folder as mentioned above and remove it from the EVE folder. When you restart the client it shall make a new cache folder and your main settings should be back to default.
