Is there a guide out there for pvp for a gal or caldari pilot. I know there is some way to do it but a layout of the skill recommended and such. New and did a search for pvp and the list just went on and on. IS there any one guide that is considered the bible for pvp.
Links would be great as well as suggestions.
thanks LBFM

Get EVEMon, add PvP ship, add its weapons, add its mods, add its support skills, presto.

Just google "Murhpy's Laws of Combat" - that's a good start. Seriously though, there's no singular "guide" to PvP I don't think...it's one of those things that is usually best learned by experience and from a mentor.
P.S. I'm serious about the first sentence. ------------ ULTIMATE LAG SOLUTION IBTL! IBDS/DC! IBTC! 1st in a BoB post! And other such forum tom-foolery. |

thanks
I will look this one up. As far as evemon i dont want to install extra crap on the computer since it needs more stuff from microsoft to work. And yea i could put a ship in there and the skills needed but if i dont have any direction to go from it is hard to get there.
thanks for the the fast ideas.

You should join the channel "EVE University" - they're usually very helpful with newer players, including teaching them how to fight in EVE. I would also recommend you talk to them. ------------ ULTIMATE LAG SOLUTION IBTL! IBDS/DC! IBTC! 1st in a BoB post! And other such forum tom-foolery. |

Agony requires pilots to have the following character skills before they attend PVP-BASIC:
# Propulsion Jamming 1+ # Afterburner 1+ # Caldari, Amarr, Gallente or Minmatar Frigate 1+ # Sensor Linking 1+ # Warp Drive Operation 3+ # Target Painting 1+ # Weapon Disruption 1+ # Electronic Warfare 1+
And we require the following skills for our intermediate-level training, PVP-WOLFPACKS:
* Propulsion Jamming 3+ * Afterburner 3+ * Caldari Frigate 3+ or Gallente Frigate 3+ or Minmatar Frigate 3+ * Sensor Linking 3+ * Warp Drive Operation 3+ * Target Painting 3+ * Small Hybrid Turret 3+ or Small Projectile Turret 3+ * Standard Missiles 3+ (If driving Caldari) * Weapon Upgrades 3+ * Engineering 3+ * Electronics 3+ * Destroyers 1+ * Long Range Targeting 3+ * Navigation 3+
These are the character skills that we consider to be the minimums for effective PVP. In PVP, we believe that player skill is more important than character skill. Hammer's Guide is an excellent resource for getting started with all aspects of EVE and includes a number of good articles on PVP and related subjects. Rather obviously, I think that the training courses from Agony Unleashed are well worth your time.
