Hello everyone. Recently I got a 5 Day trial invite and I find myself getting back into EVE. However, I had some questions, so I thought I'd bring them to the forums.
I'm mission running to make ISK, but it seems to go slowly. What do I do with the loot I get from pirate ships? Most of it are things I have no use for such as ECM/ECCM, Energy Guns, and Ammo. Should I refine this and sell the ore or simply sell the items?
As I mentioned, I'm mission running. Should I stick to the Level I missions I can easily do, or try to move on to the more difficult Level II missions?
Is it worth the time it takes to salvage the destroyed ships? I have Salvaging III.
What exactly are GTC? Is it time that you buy to train your skills?
Those are my questions and any clarifications someone could offer would be greatly appreciated. Safe flights!

Mission running does take a while to really start bringing in the ISK. The major factor in how much money you'll make is the level of the missions you're running, which requires you to build standing with a given corporation, which in turn requires running a large number of lower level missions. You'll find these factors snowball fairly rapidly, so you'll be doing Level 2 missions in a cruiser in a few weeks and earning significantly more in the same space of time. After that, Level 3s in a battlecruiser will up your rewards again.
Different people have different methods of dealing with loot. Personally I sell whatever I can for at least 75% of the regional average (watching out for people who are trying to skew the markets with odd bids at the same time) and store everything else to reprocess once every few days, then using the minerals to make frequency crystals and drones. If you're more patient you can store everything and try and get a decent profit for all of it by travelling to trade hubs, though that approach is only marginally profitable with the loot you'll find on lower level missions.
Salvaging will make you more ISK than bounties, rewards and loot combined, so yes it's worth it if you have the time to spare. A dedicated salvage ship (usually a destroyer with 4 salvagers and 4 tractor beams) is something most mission runners consider useful.
GTC are "Game Time Cards", they're a payment method for people who don't want to use credit cards or other forms of direct payment to CCP to pay for their subscription. They're prepay time cards for your account, but they don't give you more time for training than you'd otherwise get. CCP supports the practice of people buying GTCs then selling them via the secure method (in your account page) to other players for ISK.

Thanks Vincenzo. I think I've done enough Level I missions to move on to the Level II ones by now. I think I may refit a separate ship to Salvage everything after I complete a mission. I appreciate the feedback.

All perfectly covered. Just one other thing. Train the social skill "connections". It really helps with moving to the next agent level.
